Fellow Nigerians, before now I feel apathetic about the political trend in this nation, and I decided to remain quiescent about its affairs, I actually consider this piece to be imperative even as we head for the polls come March 28 to decide which captain will pilot the affairs of this great nation for the next four years.
The political actors of this great nation has definitely played their roles well that of I were to give it a title the great book "Comedy of errors" readily comes to mind as the political doyens of different parties call each other unprintable names and quickly pointing fingers at one another for each mishap, my fear is that I hope the youth of this country are not taking notes as students in the class of disaster.
With no further ado let me begin by saying I am not a card carrying member of any political party neither am I a pro Jonathan nor anti Buhari, I am just dishing out this letter as a concerned youth of this nation and I think this letter could calm the storms in the political waters amidst Nigerian youths .
As I write this a story in the Holy book readily comes to mind "Jacob and Esau", Esau who was the first born sold his birth right for a piece of morsel and never regained it back , Many of our youths will not minding how much sell their conscience and right to have a good job , good health care system good roads and a future for themselves, but note it for every hungry Esau there is a Jacob somewhere willing to negotiate, will u sell your future for some naira or dollar notes ? Remember when u do and the country ain't going well u don't have the right to complain again about anything cause the right had been sold
I must say political thuggery through the youths is now a norm in our own clime, from the beginning of campaign till now many has been killed and many things destroyed because of clashes between political parties and except we take caution many will be sacrificed on the alter of supporting a particular candidate who I doubt is not even aware of their existence the question is this is it really worth it ? If you are love drunk with a particular candidate why not show your love or support by casting your vote for him instead of fighting others who are on the other side of the divide, on social medias like twitter, Facebook , Nairaland you see E-fights just because some expresses his opinion about a particular candidate, Many will say its just an argument but I say it is better to keep quiet than to use repugnant words that could lead to enmity and hostility between you and the person
Fellow youths I bid you to please go all out and let's make the choice for this nation choice for a greater Nigeria and as we do so join me to pledge peace, say no to violence avoid unsavory arguments and Nigeria will be great again God bless you, God bless Nigeria Amen
