Only God can call you His friend. All Christians must strive to be called a friend of God by God Himself.

God wrote the Bible using human beings by divine inspiration. The humans used by God to write the Bible never knew they were writing the Bible.

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

No sound relationship is based on fear.....

Fear is not an element of a good relationship because fear puts one at constant odds with danger.....one fears when one is endangered and that response is to keep one at alert of what we're supposed to do to minimize or stop(or even flee) the dangerous situation..

Here's an example drawn from the kidnapped chibok girls'...
Imagine if the terrorists are telling them this very same thing...."we're friends"....."we want you to have a relationship with us"...."Fear and obey us and you'll not be harmed"...."Any of you who refuses would be left to face the consequences"....

Even so...an omniscient being need not offer incentives and/or punishments for a relationship....Any relationship formed that way would be a false one(based on the promises of threats and not for a genuine gift-less relationship)....A being capable of omniscience would attract genuine relationships based on people's curiosity to know about it....not from an archaic "gift or torture" scheme(acceptable to dictators and bronze age men)

Did you hear any "god" say that or did you just read it in the bible then believed that the bible was written by men claiming they were inspired by "god" to write it as "god" itself was true?
And was it inspiration that made those people clip away mute than twenty books from the bible that are still referenced in its current passages.....like the book of the laodiceans?
