The Card Reader may well turn out to be a blessing in disguise to President Jonathan and the PDP.

I respect Jega innovation, it is outstanding and must be commended. Now who ever is going into politics and election will no longer take the electorate for granted thinking rigging plan will help him in any way.

Just wondering. soldiers have been restricted from the polling centers. if the head of a village collects all the voters card of members in his village and, together with armed youths, forces the NYSC member controlling that polling booth to accept all the voters card. how will the machine forestall such an event?

hypothetical, of course.

We have entered a critical week in Nigeria's political History.
The world is watching with interest as we go to the polls on Saturday.
This great Nation, sure deserves change. Change of attitude, lifestyle, thinking, etc. Not the change that will depend on one man but the change where everyone will take responsibility towards building a better country.
Some people have tried to convince me to vote for their candidate because they believe he will bring "change"
They say:
On certificate; ...just vote for him even if he presents "NEPA" bill
On public debate; ...just vote even if he shuns every opportunity to explain how he will bring change.
On Religion; ...just vote for him even if he doesn't condemn Islamic extremism
On Recycling old rulers... Just vote for him,he has changed
On Corruption...Just vote even if he's surrounded and funded by corrupt people, he would change them.
On ability to lead a modern Nigeria...they say just vote for him, we have a good team that will teach him.
I asked, why this blind faith? They said, "because the man who is in-charge now has failed, let's experiment with General....he's too old to be corrupt."
I asked, what if the experiment fails? They said, then we will change him in 4yrs time...hmmmm.
I want a better life for my family and country but I'm grateful for the progress so far made. I'm not ready to throw away what I have and follow the promises of Nigerian politicians.
President Jonathan may not have accomplished all he set to do but no one can deny the fact that his gentle nature and leadership has given us the freedom we never had. Freedom is the core essence of democracy. For the first time in our history even idiots can insult the President and sleep without worry.
On Saturday 28th March, exercise your freedom and vote who you like. I'll vote for GEJ. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,God bless and keep us all,Amen. #VoteNotFight#Peace.

For those that sold their PVCs, how does it detect that such cards were sold, stolen?
The picture on the card must match the bearer of such card. if it is not matched, he or she will not be allowed to be accredited and vote.

woe unto those that sells and buys PVC....

I'm still sceptical of this card reader and this coming election. An adhoc staff told me that on the process of the election, if the staff mistakenly press "communicate with inec" on the screen that the card is done with accreditation that day. What if a particular party decided to line up their members first for accreditation and decided to communicate to inec, that means, the will win the election disenfranchising other voters.

I wish and pray that inec gets it right.

God bless Nigeria.
I think ad hoc staff that told you need a refresher training.
even if you mistakenly press communicate, there is no calls for alarm cos another confirmation page will appear, asking you to confirm by "Yes" or "No"...

Card reader and PVC is the best thing for this election...

You can only vote in your polling unit. Each card will be configure for each polling unit.
locate your polling unit on election day and cast your vote...

The card reader requires finger print. That scenario you painted will not work.

accreditation ends by 1pm.....all parties should be around before the end,Plus there are always party agents and observers at each polling unit

The adhoc staff said there's no provision for confirmation " yes or no". Cos I asked this question. Anyway, the best wishes to every politician. But I know that over 65% of people in government will not come back with the introduction of card readers.

God bless Nigeria.

Ok....Prof.

If indeed, the elections shall hold this weekend, we need the timelines:

1. What time should we visit the polling unit?
2. What time would accreditation end?
3. What time can we start to vote? I mean the proper election wink
4. What time would voting end?
5. What time should we expect the final result? I mean can we start to compute the results ourselves at the Polling Unit.
6. What time should we expect the smoke from the Chimney? I mean at what stage can we predict the winner.
7. What time should we sit to hear the announcement of Gen. Buhari as President wink

1. 8am
2. 1.00pm
3. Voting starts by 1.30pm
4. Voting ends as soon as the last person on the queue casts his/her vote.
5. Sure, results would be announced at respective Polling Units.
6. Stay glued to your TV/radio sets for gradual compilation and final announcement of results.
7. I'm not certain this would occur.
Forward Ever!
God bless Nigeria.
