Ibadan - The Oyo State Commissioner of
Police, Mr Muhammed Katsina, has
commended the turnout of voters in
the state, saying it was a good
development for democracy.
Katsina said this in Ibadan on Saturday
after monitoring the accreditation
exercise for the presidential election.
"I am impressed by the massive turnout
of the electorate in all the areas I
visited and their peaceful conduct is
highly commendable.
"This is apart from some little hitches
involving INEC at the collation centre at
Molete and these were later sorted out.
"The security officials assigned to all
polling booths have also ensured
orderliness and this, I must say, is
commendable," he said.
