THIS ONE LAST THING | Jude 1: 20 (AMP)

“But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit”

Having fully spent solid twenty seven (27) days (From: March 5th; To: March 31st) on 'HOLY SPIRIT AND HIS GIFTS'. It is also my desire to let you know about this one last important thing – ‘HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT’.

Sincerely, there is no assurance that we have covered all there is about the ministry of the Holy Spirit. In other words, what we covered so far under this subject aren't all about Holy Spirit. Please, don't stop studying further. It is very essential. Our recommended books on this are: Lester Sumrall on ‘THE GIFTS AND MINISTRIES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT’. Kenneth E. Hagin’s book on ‘THE HOLY SPIRIT AND HIS GIFTS’.

That is instructive enough.

Before we start with today’s subject matter, this is also essential to know. Of course; the beneficiaries of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are the ‘Believers’. We covered this at the beginning of this subject | See Acts 2: 1 – 12, Acts 10, Acts 19: 1 – 10.

Now, to ‘HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT’.

1 Corinthians 14: 1 (AMP) | “…and earnestly desire and cultivate the spiritual endowments (gifts)…”

As treated yesterday, there is nothing wrong in desiring or coveting a particular gift of the Spirit. The scripture above validates our yearning, longing for these spiritual gifts. However, this I must bring to our notice; there is no new creation that do not have at least, one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We only have believers who are not paying attention to themselves or responding to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

How to respond is what we will be looking into right away. Absolutely, there are two important things to pay attention to – ‘GETTING INVOLVE IN SPIRITUAL EXERCISES (e.g. Praying); and LAUNCHING OUT IN FAITH’.

Asides desiring or seeking Spiritual Gifts, we also need to be conscious of the gift when it comes and also be ready to respond to the prompting of the Spirit in faith. This is the point our faith is needed. (NOTE: Faith here isn't the gift of 'SPECIAL FAITH'. Rather, the normal simple faith which each New Creation has - we treated this under 'FAITH' series. Dearly beloved, spending time in prayer, most especially, praying in the Holy Ghost, perhaps, couple with fasting (optional, anyway); makes your spirit to be highly tuned to spiritual signals.

Take this for illustration, vividly, I remember each time I subject myself to praying in tongues for hours, none stop - like three hours daily; also couple with reading several chapters of the bible; without me asking for any of these gifts, I do see myself operating, accurately, in some of them; affirmatively, the 'REVELATION GIFTS' which consists of the gift of the ‘WORD OF KNOWLEDGE, WORD OF WISDOM; AND DISCERNING OF SPIRIT’ and two or three other gifts. So sharp and highly accurate.

Some of these gifts are frequently in operation in my life; almost certainly permanent. Nevertheless, NOTE PLEASE: I don't just manifest in them at my own Will. They are always inspired by the Holy Spirit Himself whenever they are needed, I suppose | See 1 Corinthians 12: 11. And I also notice that the rate at wish I gain insight into God’s word is extremely on the high side. I do notice all these each time I subject myself to a long hours of praying, especially in other tongues, known as praying in the Holy Ghost.

ONE MORE THING

I got the descriptions of my woman; her name inclusive through the operations of the gift of the WORD OF WISDOM – “Future addressed gift”; and also through two of the 'Inspirational Gifts' – “DIVER KINDS OF TONGUES and the INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES”.

ATTENTION, PLEASE: However, this isn't saying this is how yours 'MUST/SHOULD' be. This is just my own personal experience. To some, it might just be a 'Like' or Inner Intuition or a Choice, etc. Remember, it doesn't need to be spectacular to be spiritual. Just pay attention to your own self. More of this shall be critically looked into under the series of Marriage - "YOU AND SHE"

Clear, right?

In continuation, this happened long time before I met her. Clear-cut, three weeks before we met, her name was given to me through the instrumentality of INSPIRATIONAL GIFTS; and a day that preceded the day we finally met, her description was also given to me; this, through the instrumentality of REVELATION GIFTS. Mind you, I wasn’t in any way looking for her after the first encounter. I was busy minding my own thing. And three weeks after, we met. When we met, we both knew we have a journey to undertake together. This is the bottom line – I experience that after spending a long time praying in tongues not to get her, anyway. I was just observing one of my spiritual exercises. The knowing came. It was revealed by the SPIRIT not me. And when we met, I did this last thing;

LAUNCHED OUT IN FAITH.

Launching out in Faith means you responding to the prompting of the Holy Spirit in faith.

Technically, while spiritual exercises help your 'Spirit Man' to be more sensitive to Holy Spirit’s promptings, responding in faith or stepping out in faith helps the dream actualized.
