What the hell is going on with all this stupid nigeria applauding buhari when he hasn't even done anything to prove him right..ist I want to conderm all those laughing out the good gestures from our southern brothers just because they all calling for calm and congratulating buhari I mean people like tompolo, asari and many others coming to show the maturity of the southerns, mind you we are not fools or afraid of war, bloodshed or ona so called general but its all for the unity of this country ans that's what our brother did taking the interest of u and I ist but your so called general did the otherwise in 2011 and still planed on doing the same this past few days if not for God intervention nd the wisdom on our president..mind you I never supported any political party and never voted for any but I believe in the change but it only God I believe can achieve that change not buhari..in conclusion my point is this to you projecting buhari as a tyrant or whatever, nobody is afraid of him because he can do nothing with the law been adhere to and if he chooses to follow military rule then be rest assured he wont last on that office because the same voice that put him there that same voice will remove him.thank please for my writing nd errors

Well, its a democracy and lot of people are probably ignorant of that.

People think that the title of 'President and Commander in chief of the armed forces' is a do-what-you-want title. Even Obama can not go to war or pass a law without the approval of congress.

I dont really think its fair to compare Nigeria to the United States because we are far behind, but since its the height of true Democracy in the world, I'll give a few comparisons so that Nigerians can also have an idea of how the blame game works.
The US has been fighting a losing war in Iraq and Syria for so long despite having the backing/coalition of over a dozen world powers yet the Americans dont call for Obama's head.
The US was bombed in Boston despite spending billions on defence, they didnt blame Obama.
The racial police ish that got occurred in many parts of the country, that resulted in the deaths and destruction of Americans and their properties, wasn't blamed on Obama.
Etc

But in Nigeria,
Robbers rob, blame it on Jonathan.
People bombed, blame it on Jonathan.
People died from job recruitment, blame it on Jonathan.

Bottom line is, in a democracy, the President's powers are limited, so many of this people should stop saying he will send so so so person to jail etc. Truth is, if he has no evidence to back up his charges, he'll end up making a mockery of himself.
Even Buhari will have to pass budget to parliament before its approved, that's how limited a president's power is on a democratic situation.
Yes he has official powers, but not absolute powers. The earlier some Nigerians starts seeing that, the better.

As citizens, I call on all Nigerians to respect and support the office of the Presidency. A better Nigeria favours us all.
