Sometimes I wonder how Nigeria would be without the Yorubas

It would just be like Chad or Cameroon

We have given a lot to this country but we haven't got any back

You can say that again bro

Read this below; just to emphasise on that point of Yorubas giving out

Why Igbos looking for war where there is none?

Why are Igbos instigating Ijaws against other Nigerians?

Why can't Igbos see the handwriting on the wall that they are on their own among the rest?

This sudden relationship with Ijaws(There is nothing like Niger-delta except federal allocation period) was only established on the platform of bigotry, hatred(a at part of Igbos), and of course tribaslism.

Why can't Igbos come forward to kick against Jonathan government that was ceremoniously laced up with Nepotism?

Why can't Igbos speak up against marginalisation of other regions under Jonathan administration? Who does this below since Independence?

President-Bayelsa-Igbo(Nnamdi Azikiwe)
SGF-ISGF-Igbo
Deputy Senate-Igbo
Deputy Speaker-Igbo
CBN Governor -Igbo
Minister for Finance- Igbo
Printing and Minting- Igbo
Petroleum minister-Bayelsa

I said it here in 2014 that Igbos have done this marginalisation business before under Aguiyi Ironsi regime; equally laced up with the most opened tribal marginalisation of all time. I remember telling them that it ll backfire but as usual, they started drooling on themselves

We all seemed to have forgotten what happened during Fuel subsidy removal campaign, Igbos carried out opposition campaign against that famous campaign in their regions simply out of hatred and bigotry.

Igbos will do their evil against others and would expect others not to pay them back with their own coins

Who benefit most in all this Nigeria arrangement?

First republic- Igbo was the president( Yoruba opposition)

Second republic- Igbo was vice-president(Yoruba opposition)

Third-Yoruba president and Igbo senate president(Okadigbo,Nnamani, Wabara), Finance - Igbo, CBN - IGBO ...........

Fourth-Vice president Ijaw-Igbo(Nnamdi Azikiwe Jonathan)

Who benefit most in federal allocation? Igbos

South west states pay for the O' level exams of thousands of Easterners' children living in South west states out of their monthly allocations while Igbo states enjoy 90% of their federal allocations.

South west statss pay the Easterners in civil service commissions in all the south west states out of their federal allocation while south east commissions are filled up with 99% Igbos

There are thousands of Easterners in South west using social infrastructure meant for this region while south east is filled up with 95% easterners.

Go to the North, Igbos children o'level exams are equally paid for

Go to the North and the West to see how Obas and Emirs/Sultans allowed Ezes igbo title to be used in their kingdoms; have their meeting with their Igbo people in their respective local areas. Can anybody tell me how many Baale or Northern chief are in their domain?

It's quite sad that the same Igbos are the one abusing other Nigerians who have given them more than what they have given these Nigerians.

I pray for Nigeria separation so as to allow Igbos to see the damage they have done to themselves.

Finally, SE should desist from bringing SS people into their hatred rhetorics cos the last time I checked the people in the Niger-delta formation, Edos, Urhobos, Egberis and of course Itshekiris are still part of it. I only hope that Igbos are not banking on these people in case they get what they are asking for.

Go and read the histories of these nations I had mentioned above and guess where their allegiance would be in eventuality of war. We don't want to hear WE WERE BETRAYED Ooo.

The north voted enmasse for Jonathan in 2011. I think it has nothing to do with religion and hatred alone but largely on performance. Jonathan neglected the Northeast and six weeks to election, he started doing what he'd failed to do for so long. People believe GMB would be different and starting from May 29, I'll match his promises with action.

There is strength in numbers and unity. The alliance, not Yorubas, brought about APC's victory.
Hausas teaming up with Igbos would have done the job, likewise Igbos teaming up with Yorubas.
Lack of numbers and unity are the only reasons Nigeria did not and has not split.

I must commend Yorubas for generally putting up a united front and for truly understanding the saying " my enemy's enemy is my friend".

Hausas are experienced empire builders and know the value of alliances. Yorubas helped bring GEJ to power in 2011 and we are all witness to how ignoramously he handled things. That is why he is a "sitting duck" today!

NASARAWA State governor and governor-elect, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, on Tuesday, said the Yoruba race was behind the success recorded by the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the just-concluded general election in the country.

The governor, who made this assertion at the Presidential Lodge in Lafia, the state capital, while receiving Yoruba community in the state, led by its president, Afeez Adigun, stressed that the role played by the tribe during the merger process of all opposition parties could not be quantified in terms of naira and kobo.

He stressed further that apart from monumental achievements of APC-led governments in various states, which resorted to the success of the party during the elections, Nigerians were truly yearning for change, due to competence and trust they have in the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.

Al-Makura, who said he would forever remain grateful to Yoruba race, especially the role it played during his re-election, said despite that the people were not from the state, they appreciated projects executed by his administration in the past three and a half years.

Earlier, the leader of the group, who is also the special assistant to the governor, Adigun, said Al-Makura’s enthusiasm for the developmental stride in the state prompted the community to give him and other APC candidates unalloyed supports during the elections.

I am not Yoruba but make bold to say that the only reason Nigeria is still one is because of the Yoruba people. The yoruba race was the decider in the last presidential election.

The yoruba race used the intsrumentality of the media at their disposal to rubbish GEJ and brought down his regime. take the media not for granted, the media is a split image showing you what they want you to see per time, wether true or false, the media gradually shape your perspective about people, place or thing.

From the very first time when GEJ could not stand and support the Yorubas for the position of the speakership but rather blamed it on Tinubu selling out to north. Many Yorubas decided that GEJ was finished. GEJs advisers and political permutators finished him also. they made him think that pleasing the north will make him win 2nd term. The North is power drunk and has always remained so. Wrong permutation if you ask me. If GEJ had done half of what he did to please the north for the yorubas, he would have been re-elected. GEJ pulled back action on insurgency for fear of the north and what they will tag him. He built Almajiri schools and rehabilitated dams all over the north even though it was constitutionally wrong for FG to build elementary schools. He released Almustapha which angered the west..He really did alot to please the north but in my opinion was a wrong political move. He ignored the south west that vehemently cried out on marginalisation of the region in development and political appointments. Politics is like chess. every move matters from the first and you can't ignore the prize of any bad or good move...

Spokesman for the Yorubas, how about you talking about your own region or do you prefer other regions to yours?

Tribalism and ethnic hatred have destroyed Nigeria! I have seen this manifesting in real life now more than before. It is no longer an online thing, it is palpable in every nook and cranny. Seun you have to do something about this in Nairaland. This tribal hatred is killing this site gradually

In your dreams hateful and vengeful bigot. Did the North not support OBJ to power over two terms? Is OBJ Kanuri or Ibibio? Since 1999, even the North has not led as long as OBJ i.e 8 years so what "use and dump" are you talking of? The one you pulled out of your azz sensible folks will call 'wishful thinking'?

All the malevolence you lot are wishing upon the Yorubas will never come to pass. The North and the SW will always find ways to collaborate productively because both region understand that "there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics. Only permanent interest". It is vindictive, sentimental and bitter folks like you, totally driven by hate and obsessed with an agenda of vengeance against others, who fail to get this concept. After playing politics of bitterness and ethnic enmity that got you nowhere you are still hating on the Yorubas instead of learning your lessons and amending your ways. You will continue to shoot yourselves in the foot as long as you are driven by blind hatred for others.
