I've managed pages on this forum site some years back about the IJMB Programme, but decided to open this thread in this section because of the changes that has taken place in the IJMB programme. Candidates seeking admission into Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination must possess five (5) ordinary level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language. For candidates pursuing courses in Sciences, Engineering, Management and Social Sciences, credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory from any of WASC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB obtained at not more than two sittings.

This is to inform all those intending to go into ijmb programme that they are so many fake ijmb centres in town. ABOUT IJMB PROGRAMME.

This is a programme moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. It is designed
to ameliorate problems of admission for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria
University instead of JAMB.

The examination is now conducted in February every year in designated Polytechnics and Colleges
Of Education,while the results are released around April to enable students purchase a direct entry form from JAMB office to apply to any school of their choice.When admission begins in September and October, they are then short listed for admission into their chosen institution. The number of subjects a student can enter for is three (3) with respect to their chosen profession.

Mean While, candidates with deficiency in O’level English Language and Mathematics can also remedy these subjects by registering for the IJMB O’level Examination

UI also accepts it, or let me say accepted it in the past. I got into UI (Ibadan) with 10 points for veterinary medicine and another friend 15 points for Medicine but that was in 1997/98. We were the only two chaps from my IJMB kwara poly centre that got into UI at the time.
