FG and Jonathan are right on this one.

GMB is rather impatient and too eager to be El Presidente.

I really don't know how GMB is running a parallel govt here, he didn't give any orders, he didn't sign any contract, all he has been doing is receiving visitors and granting press conferences.
All I see here is jealousy, and I can't even blame GEJ now, he might not even be aware of this.

We can so jump to conclusions even when the conclusions are clearly wrong.

From the short info released, it is obvious that the terms of reference given to those in the transition committee might be inferred to be the running of a parallel govt and not about spotlight being on Buhari. Was there any mention of G7 or anything like that?

The real questions should be "what did Buhari tell the committee to do?" Maybe it included actions that would be be tantamount to them being in govt while that is not what a transition committee is meant to do.

Is a collection of organizations or institutions that are state-like in their organization, management and structure, but they are not officially part of the legitimate state or government. They serve primarily to promote the prevailing political and social ideology of the state. In other words it means
illegal government. Government that is not recognized by law. Buhari has not been sworn in as the President, Hence he should not start playing the
role of a President because as far as the constitution is concern, GEJ is still the president of Nigeria. I hope this explains it better?

Pls forgive my ignorance, can you enlighten me on how Buhari has played the role of a president?

He makes announcements and declarations as if he's already president, he should at least try to hold himself till handover. I know its hard for him but he can try.

For those of you who thinks what is happening is a child play should watch it. Whatever apc is looking for willl be provided by someone else for this government and not GEJ. Whether you described it visitors, whether you call it, whatever name or description, Buhari can still tell those visitors to wait a little. There are ways things are done. No body will benefits if GEJ had refuse to go. At the end, many things will go wrong. Many people will die. Why has Buhari allowed and take all these actions, while there is an existing president? Buhari is about to be swon in within four weeks. Those visits can only be approved after series of exchange of letters, phone calls etc. Why can't Buhari ask those people to wait. What is this rush for.
Am sure whatever, this Buhari is looking for will be giving to him but not by GEJ. Some one else or something will answer him. Everything that has to do that relates to official functions should wait. He has won. He has four years he may not even complete because of his dead body system. Again, why this rush?

You people are quick to call GEJ clueless, but what is more clueless, is for someone to be acting as a President even before he is sworn in.

Buhari is not President yet.

Today is not May 29th, yet.

You see,all those world recognitions can still wait for about four weeks time. All this visits are all official in nature. What will it personaly benefit you as an individual if GEJ has refused the election result? I do not know who you are, whether an Islam whose aim is to cause deaths, destructions etc., I do not know but any thing that has to do with official functions should wait a little because there is an existing government. To me, respecting one another and peaceful living should have been better. Apc had promised paralled government before today but has won and are still doing abi carrying out official functions when he has few days to go. Remember, there God. Those northerners who thinks trouble is their watch word may meet someone else or somethings else that will satisfy them.

...but Buhari is not the one inviting these people nah... and what do you mean by that statement? you need to elaborate....

Guy, you are a fool and your head is just empty.

How can someone who is yet to be sworn in already start acting like a president.

As long as GEJ still occupies Aso rock, Buhari should just sit down and wait for his turn.

Is it our fault that shame will not allow GEJ to come out of aso rock again, making Buhari look like president already
Re: FG Warns Buhari Against Running Parallel Government by Nobody: 5:14pm On Apr 29, 2015
Mr bandwagon follower.

So OBJ now chooses our national vocabulary for us.

He called GEJ clueless and everyone suddenly started singing, clueless, clueless.

The same OBJ that could not give us stable electricity after 8 years in power and after serving as

both president and NNPC minister for 8 years.

Now everybody is talking about probe.

How about probing OBJ, IBB, Abdulsalami and all past leaders.

But before Buhari was elected, Jonathan was hardly acting like a president. Abati and Okupe were drivers of the presidency. Anyim? Well usually asleep.

Jonathan even said it after conceding defeat that he was tired of being in government after 16 years, that it was like living in a cage.

So why is the presidency worried if Buhari is demonstratimg eagerness to do Jonathan's job?

so if ambassadors of various countries decide to visit a private citizen, it constitutes a crime?

Since Buhari won, have you heard him giving any directive or order?

So what exactly has he done that constitute a parallel govt?

in my opinion, that statement made by the FG is inflammatory!!

don't no what is d "term of reference" that's causing d friction entails, but from my observation and understanding of running a parallel govt, I don't think buhari has erred. In running a parallel govt, buhari would have been seen †☺ covertly or overtly usurp d powers and assume d functions of d sitting president by giving "presidential" orders and countermanding the orders of d sitting president. So far I haven't heard him do that. D only issue I c from d FGs perspective might b d diplomatic visits buhari has been receiving with various ambassadors pledging their countries loyalty †☺ buhari and maybe d G7 thing. D govt might view this as an affront and a breach of diplomatic protocol since buhari isn't officially d head of state. Buhari has no control over these people so that doesn't constitute running a parallel govt

I refuse to believe that Jonathan approved the Ministers' s statement. But if he did, then it is quite disappointing, and a negation of all that he has been mouthing since his partys' defeat. The government has full access to Buhari and his team and it is within their means to invite him to the Villa to register their reservations about the terms of reference of his transition committee. If they don't want to meet with him physically, they could even write him an official letter. Why embarrass him publicly like a schoolboy?
