UGHELLI – MEMBERS of the All Progressive Congress, APC Security Committee in the Niger Delta States have stated that they are optimistic that the President-elect, Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd) would implement developmental strides aimed at healing the wounds of the Niger Delta people.

Co-ordinator of the group, ‘Commander’ Bibi Oduku while speaking Sunday to newsmen on the hopes and aspiration of the APC for the people of the region, stated that the people of the Niger Delta region have a lot to benefit from the incoming administration as he would fulfill the promises made to the people by late President Umaru Yar’Adua.

Condemning the actions of some groups within the region which has been claiming responsibilities for series of pipeline explosions in Delta State, Oduku said: “Their demands may be genuine, but dialogue is a better tool for negotiation.

“We in the Niger Delta region would not allow anyone exploit our difference in creed or tongue to set us against one another”

He would heal the wounds of the Niger-Delta people, that's why he's President. It's just a shame an outsider will do what their son couldn't do

No mind the mumu, e be like say him just discover the word. cheesy

The best way Buhari could put these noisemakers to shame is to develop the SE and SS way more than "their pikin" did in 5years plus, and I'm very optimistic that's the plan he's got up his sleeves.
