Plant Manager
Brief Description of Duties:

Overview the technical and managerial aspects of the Plant Department, including those of the quarries, stores, asphalt plants and batching plants.

Coordinate the functions, procurement and mobilization/demobilization of Plant facilities and personnel for various projects.

Provide specialized expertise and advice to the areas of operations on all related Plant aspects.

Coordinate with the Estimating Department for economic plant usage and selection for various types of plant application.


Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum of 1-3 years experience in repair, maintenance and management of large road construction fleet of equipment.

1 to 2 years experience in similar position with proven record.


Quarry Operations Manager

Brief Description of Duties:

Oversee the full operation of all SCNL Quarries/Crushers.
Review and approve budgets/imprest prepared by the Quarry Supervisor.
Review and approve requests of material to be procured by Head Office.
Schedule production based on Sites’ requirements.
Review production reports and take necessary action where and when needed.
Submit to the Executive Committee a consolidated Monthly Report of all quarry/crusher operations, both financial and production.
Ensure that blasting plans are approved before blasting and best blasting practice is carried out.
Ensure timely and appropriate returns are presented to the Ministry of Mines and Solid Minerals.
Initiate and arrange refresher training courses for Supervisors in the latest techniques.
Arrange for exploration, acquiring and setting new Quarries/Crushers.

Job Requirements:

A background of quarry industry or surface mining experience
Minimum 2 years experience in field
Excellent communication skills, written – verbal in English
Experience at mine planning, subcontract management, cost management a plus.


Financial/Cost Controller

Brief Description of Duties:

Directs and control the financial activities of the Company.

Prepares reports which summarize and forecast
Company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.

Experience in accounting system development, financial management, financial reporting and setting-up internal financial policies and procedures.

Monitoring the implementation of accounting company policies and procedures at Head Office and various sites of the Company.

Study and report any variances between actual and budgeted expenditure, showing their effects on the forecast final costs.

Arranges for audits of company accounts as well as supervise and support financial team in the necessary preparations for the external audit materials and financial reporting.

Supervises and directs subordinates in various financial statements, reports and setting-up and implementation of cost centers.

Job Requirements:

Bsc or HND in Accounting

1-2 years experience in same specialization in the construction industry.

High degree of supervisory and team building skills, to supervise and motivate the team with his interpersonal skills so as to facilitate the creation of a continuous learning environment that fosters team work, process improvement and skills development



Project Engineer

Brief Description of Duties:

Control and coordinate the execution of the work package ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with specifications and crafts standards, specify working methods and interpret specifications and formal drawings as necessary.

Direct the project work and exercise strict control over costs of construction.

Review any variation from the budget expenditures and initiate remedial action as deemed necessary.

Preparation of work-in- progress reports and Certificates of work done.

Job Requirements:

Bsc or HND in Civil Engineering

1-2 years experience in same specialization within the construction industry.

Strong personality and ability to lead, control and co-ordinate site construction activities.

Technical Control Engineer

Brief Description of Duties:

Prepare comprehensive reports to identify, analyze and monitor all assigned project costs, with the view to facilitating completion of the project.

Compile information concerning unit cost and rates experience on the various phases of contract for incorporation in the reference material manuals for future estimates.

Identify, schedule and monitor procurement of the project construction materials in accordance with requirements of work program and specifications as defined in the contract.

Supervise and coordinate detailed compilation and finalization of budget for the awarded projects based on materials compiled by the Estimate
Manager in the course of tender preparation. This also involves comprehensive discussion of draft budget and subsequent revisions of it, with the designated Project Manager, his cost control Engineer and the Project Coordinator.

Monitor consumption trends and current stock levels of materials in order to plan future requirements and replenish stocks as necessary.

In addition, monitor materials issues against actual usage in order to determine the waste factor and report findings to the Project Manager.
Organize, direct, plan, schedule and control all the necessary resources to complete the job according to the contractual obligations on time within the policies, programs and budget.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

2-5 years experience in same specialization within the construction industry.

Excellent reporting, writing and presentation skills.


Structural Design Engineer

Brief Description of Duties:

Conceive an overall structural analysis for Reinforced Concrete Bridges, (i.e. substructure and superstructure) in accordance to the British Standard Code.

Good knowledge in Soil Mechanics and capacity to design piling foundation of different types (e.g. Board piles, driven piles etc...)

Ability to design miscellaneous structural element (e.g. retaining walls, tanks, Slab on grade etc…)

Interpret and produce shop-drawings, prepare detailed calculation notes, bar bending schedule and BOQ

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or/and Structural Engineering.

Senior Plant Engineer
Brief Description of Duties:

Oversee the full operation of a large workshop including, maintenance, repair, overhauling, trouble shooting and records keeping of Caterpillar, Volvo and general earthmoving equipment.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the workshop personnel and tasks.

Reports to the Plant Manager and follow-up orders of spare parts and ensures maximum utilization of plant machinery.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Planning Engineer

Brief Description of Duties:

Responsible for developing the detailed schedules for the Engineering, Procurement or Construction phases of the project,

Interrogate interdisciplinary schedule requirements and restraints, to ensure logical work sequences across all disciplines of the project.

Prepare Schedules, Graphs, Bar charts, Progress Curves and Spread Sheet Reports for regular site-based reports and progress reviews for the Project Controls Manager and Delivery Project Managers as requested.

Prepare equipment and manpower loading reports for site project resources.
Support the maintenance of the work breakdown structure (WBS) in conjunction with planning manager and project managers.

Monitor the assignment of budgeted resources to each site network activity with the appropriate team leader.
Monitors and updates the site schedules with actual hours expanded and estimate to complete (ETC) in conjunction with the cost controllers.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

2-5 years planning knowledge and experience with computerized project management software packages

Experience in site installation activities related to the civil engineering industry is desirable.

Must be well organized and with good written and verbal communication skills.

Should have the ability to foresee potential problems and avoid them by preplanning.



Senior Land Surveyor

Brief Description of Duties:

Supervises and monitors all phases of surveying, including preliminary surveyors, sections corners, flood plain maintenance, construction, bridge inspections, right of way and utilities to ensure accurate and precise engineering drawings.

Directs and supervises all surveying work associated with the execution of the different phases and stages of the construction activities of the project.

Studies the project construction drawings and the scope of work involved and obtains priorities from site engineers.

Checks all completed work and obtains consultants approval before proceeding to the subsequent phase of work.

Supervises the work of crews assigned to survey; plans, schedules and assigns work; instructs and train in methods and procedures.

Plant Administrator

Brief Description of Duties:

Coordinate between workshop, procurement and plant managers in order to harmonize plant management operations, plant fleet movement and flow of information.

Coordinate between procurement and plant departments on spare parts and equipment purchase orders.

Job Requirements:

Holder of Bachelor degree in appropriate field


Supervisor - Concrete Works

Brief Description of Duties:

Direct and coordinate all concrete production and foundation activities at the project site.

Ensure the optimum utilization of manpower, materials and equipment and that the project will be completed on time and in accordance with safe practices.

Supervise work in progress and ensure that quality and quantity conform to standard and schedules.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of B.sc/HND in Civil engineering

Acquainted with cast-in-situ and pre-cast concrete work of bridges, drainage and other road structures.

Good knowledge of concrete materials and mix, formworks.

Experience and knowledge of materials, and laboratory procedures is an advantage.

Technical diploma or an engineering education is an advantage.

Good command of both oral and written English language.




Lab Supervisors

Brief Description of Duties:

Prepare and develop of Asphalt/Concrete Mix Designs.

Inspect and test earthworks according to specification and field density testing (tests are carried according to British Standards).

Supervise material for concrete and asphalt mixing at batching plant according to specification and standards; and laboratory sample testing.

Prepare Quality Assurance Reports to the Client.

Job Requirements:

Diploma in Civil Engineering or in related field.

3 - 5 years working experience in the roads construction industry


Drilling Supervisor

Brief Description of Duties:

Carry out drilling operations for subsoil investigation.

Perform drilling and sampling operation of soft cohesive and sandy soil.

Work with track mounted drill rigs equipments.

Setup and organize site installations and to carry out investigation on different sites.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years experience in the field of drilling operation.



Quarry Supervisor

Brief Description of Duties:

Monitor quarry operations to ensure most timely and cost effective production of aggregates and efficient utilization of all crusher and support equipments.

Plan, lead, organize and control the quarry resources to meet the needs of both the Company’s projects and external clients (including sales/customer services).

Display a hands-on approach to Drill and Blast design and implementation.

Assist with the implementation of equipment maintenance programs.

Establish high standards of work performance and optimum product quality.

Promote quality control, safety programs and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements:

A background of quarry industry or surface mining experience

Minimum 3 years experience in field

Heavy Duty Mechanic

Brief Description of Duties:

Handle repair, maintenance and trouble shooting of Caterpillar and miscellaneous heavy equipment on site and workshop.

Handle effective overhauling of engine, transmission, hydraulic system and undercarriage.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years experience in similar field

Preference for Diploma holders (BT, TS or equivalent)

Industrial Electrician

Brief Description of Duties:

Handle repair, maintenance and trouble shooting of electrical systems and control of Crushers, Asphalt plants, Concrete batching plants, Electric motors, Generators, etc.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 10 years experience in similar field

Preference for Diploma holders (BT-TS or equivalent)

Dredge Master

Brief Description of Duties:

A Dredge Master is required to work in a range of civil projects, mainly roads and bridges. The job is site based, and encompasses field and office work.

Make proper arrangement for the materials to be available before time in order to avoid any interruption of the works.
Record Man-hours spent on each operation
Initiate daily report for his part of work.

Assist and report to the Project engineer / Section Engineer as required.

Monitor material consumption by the foremen under his command, as well as the equipment hours spent on specific tasks.

Ensure that the technicians and labourers within his group adhere to HSE regulations.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience in operation and maintenance of 1,200hp cutter suction dredgers with spud carriage and anchor booms.


Road Design Engineer

Brief Description of Duties:

Is able to build a 3D ground model from raw survey data .

Is able to design from a ground model landfills, irrigation projects, industrial terminals.

He must be conversant with the geometric design of Highways and streets.

Design perfectly horizontal & vertical alignments and fully conversant with AASHTO design parameters and transition curves design speed & superlevations.

Capable to integrate a full feature carriageway, highway, dual carriageway with service roads on separated grades.

Is able to design intersections, roundabout, grade separated intersections with slip roads and flight over\'s Freeways.

Able to generate full featurised cross sections; with earthwork quantities; survey setting out data and to compile mass haul diagrams.

Work effectively and efficiently at Drainage & Sewerage design

Brief Description of Duties:

Responsible for the complete data-technical area including maintenance of the hardware, the networks and the communication-technical connection of over 30 construction sites as well as the overseas branches to our head office.

To have the specific practical skills for the corresponding web-techniques, IT-security-solutions (Firewall, VPN/RAS) as well as for the compliance with our data safety-policies.

To manage Windows-domains and -workgroups and optimize the structures and workflows.
Technical and disciplinary leadership of about 10 employees, incl. their development, belongs to your tasks.
