What Is Prayer? by paxonel(m): 10:03am On May 08, 2015
we read in the bible how the disciples asked Jesus "teach us how to pray "
the question that often come into my mind is, After telling the disciples what to ask when they pray, Did Jesus meant that these prayer points should be voiced out systematically or emotionally, otherwise, the prayer will not be answered.?
How about those who decides to think rather than voicing their prayer points out for people to hear, are they not praying.
i heard someone says prayer is thinking about the prayer points , rather than talking it out or shouting, That God hear us louder when we think .
while most Christians will voice out aggresively and speak in tongues for hours , others will remain silence, thinking for few seconds . Yet they are all praying and they will get the same result

You have to speak out or cry out loud for Our Lord, 0our God and our creator to hear us even though He see our hearts, for example you have a child and he or she is hungry or want something but didn't tell you or the baby do not cry out for food and another of ur child is telling you dad or mum I want this, he/she even cry out loud, u will first attend to the one that cry out loud. Our Lord is so busying attending to prayer of his children who believe in him but will answer the one who asked and cry out loud. So pls don't pray in ur mind, speak out or cry out loud for Ur God to attend to you first.

you are right,
But again, a Christian who did not say anything at all as a form of prayer but mere wish that he should pass his exam and also study hard, and another christian who cry out loud praying for hours for God to help him pass his exam, yet he refuse to read his books.
Between these two christians who do you think God will answer his prayer?
Re: What Is Prayer? by flexybobo: 3:51pm On May 11, 2015
I think God will answer the Christian who speak loud and pray. The bible says the fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much, and there is power in our tongues.
we can use our tongue to make much things happen rather than stressing ourselves to do the work.
That is why, in our church we don't believe in hospital. When you are sick just open your mouth and speak the word, by his stripes we are healed

Prayer in Aramaic means Trap
The word, prayer or the verb, to pray, in the Aramaic tongue which Jesus taught with, means to "trap the presence of God, trap all the Goodness of God there is etc"
and as a matter of fact, the Lord's Prayer, actually is a mini gospel as everything Jesus taught is in that prayer

What christians call prayer is wishfully thoughts. But when you think a being up in the sky is listening to you then that is called begging. Basically Christians are beggars.

Beggar. You are serial beggar,no wonder most of you Christians are very poor.

Prayer is a permission slip. Everything you beggars are begging for already exist. You only need to attract them with positive thoughts. There is no miracle, just materialised thoughts. Beggars will always lack.

Aramaic is a Semitic language, it is the tongue which Jesus Christ taught and preached in

But you do know the original story of Jesus is from Horus right? There was never a Jesus.

Evidence, preferably manuscripts. Did you know that Our Lord was prophesied in the OT? Since you have no concrete evidence, you'll have to believe by faith (substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen).

I do know the Horus story is studded with half-truths, unbelievable distortions and downright falsehoods when claiming parallels with Jesus'

You beat me to the draw. I was just about asking him of same. What is the primary source of this fantasy claim

Well the Jews stole their stories from the Egyptians and gave them Hollywood ending. That is why Jesus is fake. Horus is the main guy.

It is the other way round, Jesus is real, Horus is fraud

I don't understand how people can believe in God and I have one simple reason over all my other reasons why he doesn't exist. People say God's love is unconditional, he even killed his son (who was really himself) for us to all be forgiven? But isn't that in itself a horrendous and horrible act? If God loved us so much, why does he punish us rather than lead us down the right road? Why do hundreds of people die everyday by things they cant even control like starvation, thirst, slavery abuse and everything else on the list? Why are little children who haven't even had a chance to be born into the world and discover God born into poverty or genocide? Like what the hell? You love us so much yet you decide since Eve ate a damn fruit, we all suffer.

Every answer to your question are in the Bible, for a start, go to any church and ask the priest in charge sincere questions. Don't go there to counter o, just listen to all that he is going to say. After that, go away

Prayer is time wasting. How you should pray depends on the manner in which you hear your own God. So how do you HEAR your God, with your stomach, ears, or heart?
