There are circumstances in which a policeman can use his fire arm in force order. If he can prove dat his life was in danger n ofcos there is no other available means of saving his life. He can be exonerated.

Don't go near an armed officer, he may think u want to disarm him n den may fire out of fear. In d force d arm is more valuable dan d life of d officer himsef.....

Indeed Psychiatric evaluation must be done on any one being handed a firearm including the police and military. In fact, not all policemen should carry guns. Batons and tasers should do in some instances.
They also need to attend self control and anger mgt classes over and over. Their ineptitude in this country is just out of this world
