I think when you call someone twice and he / she doesn't pick, if the message is important, send a text. The person may be too busy to pick calls at that moment

I never call more than twice. In most cases, one time.

Call 10 times, then send 15 whatsapp messages, then 25 BBM Pings, 100 facebook hellos and repeat until the person responds.

I usually ring people up once. If that person is not with his/her fone at that moment the missed call is thier for him/her to see.

Just two is enough.

Business relationship = 1 missed call, After 15mins call back if no response text.

Business emergency = 1 missed call, After 2mins text

Personal relationship = 2missed call, text immediately

Family = 2missed call max, text immediately.

Most times when someone doesn't pick a call its either they are away from the phone or they actually don't want to pick. But some people will just continue calling as if you're holding their life. so annoying.

I tried Once yesterday and you know what? The person said he never saw my call and swore to that.

It appears there are cases where the phone rings in your own ear but never gets to the person you're calling: probably network issue. So, calling the 2nd time is alright and 3rd if and only if there is any urgency attached!

there was one morning I was managing my battery, preparing for work. I went to bathe. I started hearing my phone ringing. it went on till my phone went off!!

I was so pissed!

I later called back and she told me she just wanted to hear from me.
