I am practically weeping, drepressed as I type this. God knows I love and will want to worship him but everywhere I go, churches are so much concerned by taking money from members by whatever name called. I see pastors who are more interested in propagating doctrines, as long as those doctrines involve tithe, tithing, first fruits and all whats not. My understanding of the Bible is that God said we are no longer under the old covenant but under a new one. A covenant where followers are encouraged to give freely rather than with compulsion. These days, what pastors do is to scare followers. Fear of the "devourer" is what makes people pay tithe, rather than a genuine love for God. Where is the true Church of Christ?! I want to serve God, but I can't stand hypocrisy doctrines of men. Ironically I spoke with like 10 friends who agreed with my point of view. They all said they go to the churches of their choice because all pentecostal churches preaches the same doctrines. No difference. Its all about tithe and pastor worship.

I expect to get flakes, abuses and even curses but those that will help are those who can point me to the true church. All readers of this thread have a responsibility of ensuring I don't end up in hell fire. Please point me to the right church, the one with the right doctrines. Gospel of salvation and sanctification and not undue emphasis on materialism. I'm counting on you and God is counting on you too.

EEEH YAAAAAAAAAA,don't be depressed my guy.Put your absolute trust in God,not in man.Thats when you will not be disappointed.You just make certain of your relationship with God in line with the Bible.Make sure you're serving Him right and keeping His commands.Only God can direct you to a church that will take you to heaven.Infact you yourself know some churches that might direct you to heaven,onlly that you do not wish to go there.Its what they call itchy ears.But to be sincere,I've been to some churches,itsnot everybody that always preach tithes.All the ssame,i must tell you,you have a lot odf supporters and loud mouthed friends here on nairaland.Don't allow them to send you out of church o

  My brotha if "everywhere" and "every church you've tried" are all the same then find like minded christians and fellowship in your home or theirs. While being with other christians is good and serving in a church is wonderful, however, church attendance is not mandatory to enter heaven. Serve the poor in your community and help those around you and that will be doing your duty to God.

The church is not made of stones or buildings, the true church is scattered all around the world, the true church are those actively, fervently & whole heartedly following God and the bible. If you do the same no matter where you are, then you are already part of the true church.

Church is business in Nigeria thats the reason why all those church pastors are only interested in the tithes. And what do they do with it? It dosen't go back to help the poor it goes to enrich themselves or build more churches. Thats why your finding it hard to a genuine Church.

All our leaders are thieves whether they be Politician or Pastor they'll all the same to me.
