He should get the mother inlaw's message clear, the mother inlaw wants him to chose her for marriage instead of the young aged daughter. Let him locate the father of the girl and have a serious discussion with him while the girl talk to her mother to free her.

Hian! At 35, that means she birthed the girl at 15.
That aside, why is the mother against her daughter's happiness? She should allow her daughter do what she wants,it's her life and I've never seen any rule that says a woman must get married before her daughter(awkward as this may sound). She chose the path she wanted to go and got pregnant at a young age, she should allow her daughter choose her own path.. Or do I sense some form of jealousy?
