Ilekeh:moro.n! There is a class of difference between the two. Oba of lagoon is an uncultured, arrogant and senseless fool who should be cooling of in jail for refusing to respect others right to freedom and of course freedom of choice. Obi of Onitsha on the other hand is a respectable man of honour who made a common sense and patriotic call. How his call relates to SA's xenophia beats me. You are beginning to sound like a broken record. Ilekeh, tribalism has dug a brain in your ewedu brain, give it some break 3 Likes |

Yes ii's about time the igbos began to develop their region;not that they don't have the freedom to live in any part of the country as Nigerians except they want to tell us that the country has finally divided. In order for the igbos not to put all their eggs in one basket, its better they duplicate every business they have in other parts of the world in their region so that wherever they are, when they look back at home, they'd be proud of where they're coming from. Will the obi also tell the home owners to relocate their buildings to the east? This is Nigeria;it belongs to us all,no tribe is more special than the other. And before any silly indomie generation teenager ti ko gba eko ni ile e begins to quote me blindly,i'm not igbo, yoruba or hausa, but a Nigerian! 3 Likes |

emmajiya: OK when u start burning their shops or killing them, do u ask how they feed? I am a very objective person, I don't go about saying irrelevant things about other tribes, but when hypocrisy stares eyes at me, I poke my fingers into its eyes. Any idi0t from Nigeria, telling me am proud to be Nigeria that wants to debate with someone intelligent, that person should come let's go to National TV and debate, I will tear that person into shreds in matter of 5mins, if any hypocrite wants to debate how the rubbish country cares for Igbo people more than Biafra will care for Igbo speaking Biafrans, that person should volunteer him or herself. Bloody hypocrites, God strike all you people claiming u love Biafrans more than they love and care for themselves. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Investments tend to follow opportunities. The problem here are s not the individual Southeast business people, but with the various levels of government. We should all admit that governance in Nigeria has been a colossal failure from Independence. Development has been lopsided and in favor of federally favoured areas like federal capital areas like Lagos. Because of federal presence, the airports, seaports, federal agencies, ministries and parastatals, etc, have naturally drawn employment, commerce , populations and investments. That is just simple demand and supply economics. Few years ago, for example, my family sold a property in Umuahia for a very small fraction of what same property would have fetched in Lagos. That example became a disincentive for future property investments in Umuahia. The various state governments of the southeast have also woefully failed to build infrastructures that create enabling environments for investments in the southeast. When the environment is proper, investments would automatically flow. Therefore, the micro and macro economic variables have to be finetuned by the governments of the southeast to favour and encourage investments. Sentiments alone will not do it. 5 Likes |

We are not leaving anywhere. We must remain in this one Nigeria. Everywhere is home. We are all stuck with one another. No body is stopping any body from traveling to and settling in Eastern Nigeria. Yoruba land = Hausa land = Ijaw land = Igbo land = Tiv land = Egbira land etc etc and ultimately = one Nigeria. All of us condemned what is happening in S/Africa, yet people are here committing the same atrocity. Hypocrites. Nigeria is everybody's home. Which is why everybody says the oil in our Niger Delta our (Nigeria) oil. That is why when it is sold everybody runs to Abuja to get his share. So people should stop making noise. The Obi of Onitsha has also spoken well. That is how a traditional ruler should talk unlike some that will open their mouth and yan dust. quote author=chiefinalowo post=33971602]Ibo! Ibo! Ibo! Obi is calling you all to leave The Great Yorubaland and come home. Are you people going to ignore his call? Pls don't leave any trace while leaving o.[/quote] 1 Like |

iiiyyyk:There is enabling environment... this is just like what is happening right now in owerri with the rate at which hotels are rising up. it all began with one person, if dat person hadn't tried I know ppl wud be asking themselves what they can do in owerri. What I discovered is dat the real ppl with ideas are far away and whenever they come home all they do is spend money and leave. That's y anybody who has any business in d East can mk wat most ppl mk in a year within dat Christmas period because of d amount of money in circulation then, any reasonable business man wud just tap into this. I know if one igbo man again comes up with d idea to setup one industry or company in imo and it's successful just watch how d entire Imo wud become an industrial zone. My own is dat life is in phases God has a reason for everything. |

Mynd44: Don't comment on what you don't know. Your analogy above is only true in retail and not completely true with wholesale importation. Most of the goods imported by Igbos into Lagos find their way out of Lagos. Majority of my customers come from the Northern part of the country as well as Chad, Niger and Mali. 1 Like |
