Advice me plz on what to do.
I collected my original waec certificate last month

The date of birth on my original waec certificate is not my real date of birth, my real dob is 21/ 5/ 1989 while my waec cert carry 21/5/1990.

I have two options. Either to sworn affidavit or to do another birth certificate.

For affidavit. All the places I've bin presenting my waec, and birth certificate, the first thing dey ask is who is lieing while some companies doesn't recognise affidavit because they feel the applicant is lieing. And sometimes decisions are made at ones back where that person won't b able to defend him/herself

For change of Birth certificate. Some companies will go as far as making research abt someone by going to ones sch to find out more abt the certificate and the dob provided by the applicant.

Plz, advice me which one is better

Try and go to the WAEC office and complain. And must u use WAEC result? Why not NECO?

This is the same thing that happen to me. My real DOB is 6/03/1989 but waec gave me 1990. Because of the age issue in getting a job, I had no choice than to get a new birth cert using the WAEC age.

I will advice you do same to save yourself from stress. The age on the WAEC is more authentic to some people.

You don't have to worry about that. Take action today base on ya present predicament. When you get to the future you will know how to adjust your sail.

That's my humble advice based on my own experience, but the ball is in your court sha.
