I woke up this morning and I came to realized that we have lost a whole lot on the alter of civilization. I could remember my friend grand father that treats hot flashes and womb of women with simple herbs in the bush and he charges them little or nothing. The herbs works wonder and he treats women with fertility issues. I mean the women that wants to give birtjs but have difficulty with that. This man treats them …but its unfortunate that this man is dead. Now we were told that anything traditional is fetish by christain missionaries in anambra. Today our women are having fibroid, menopause early where as the treatment is everywhere. With just herbs and leaves these ailments will be gone.
I could remember my late mum treating us acute malaria with guava, pawpwer, elephant grass and mango leaves in hot water and cover you in a blanket. Just like a home made sauna or steam room. She is dead now I have lost the practise, I regret it…today we are buying artesunate malaria tablets.

We igbos or African used to be strong and treats ourselves with basic herbs like ude aki and other things but I think we are losing it on the alter or modernization.
