URHOBO youths under the aegis of Urhobo National Youth Council, UNYC, have urged the incoming administration to regard recent utterances of the leader of Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Front, NDPSF, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, on returning to the creeks as a mere threat. They called on Dokubo to desist from making inciting utterances against the incoming Muhammadu Buhari administration. Assuring the incoming administration of peace in the region, UNYC National President, Monday Oyeghe, said that contrary to threats by Asari on the resumption of a “Niger Delta struggle,” the people of the region would support Buhari in achieving the needed change in Nigerian. He explained that Dokubo’s utterances should be discarded as a mere threat, adding: “No youth of the Niger Delta region would resort to arms struggle against the incoming administration, rather, we would work towards the success of the incoming administration especially in ensuring that the administration implements its development plan for the area.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/05/regard-asaris-utterance-as-mere-threat-urhobo-youths/ |

Good. This is one reason why I keep saying that the SS does not exist, it is just a political creation. They are many small ethnic groups lumped into one and described as "SS". While the Ijaws are saying one thing, the Efik is saying another and yet the Urhobo is saying another and the list goes on.... @Topic, this is a good development. DaGC:UNYC long existed b4 UYC. UYC was created and funded by PDP while the almost Independent UNYC was neglected and made to suffer by urhobo politicians. UNYC keyed into Buharis project and now its time 4 them to enjoy power, popularity and prosperity from APC government. |
