donphilopus: If I remember, he was a Captain back then. He never tolerated nonsense and he has a good sense of humor but yet he was firm and did not tolerate any scandal in the camp. If I search through my stuff, I think I have pictures I took with him almost ten years ago. Because of him and my platoon commandant, I was almost tempted to join the military. Congrats to this man once again. I am very proud Buhari associates himself with men of integrity and virtue. 4 Likes |

This guy is a true leader and loves army work. He has been in the military almost his entire life. At age 11 he gained admission into the Nigerian Military School where he rose to become the BRSM(Similar to School Head Boy). Leadership is just a part of him. I have no doubt Lawal will make COAS |

when i first saw a pic of him online yesterday, i started observing him. and from the first picture i could tell he was not keeping up to expectation. He wore the wrong ceremonial, or let me put it this way, he was not sharp enough in that his ceremonial yesterday. i dont know if its because he is new at the job but the guy fumbled so much that yesterday. hes not sharp, hes a slacker. he had alot of awkward moments, he did not rehearse on what he was suppose to do. instead of him to have that firm presence, and stern look behind he president, he was just looking all over the place and behaving lost at some point. i was really disappointed yesterday and for me to later find out he is an ex boy, he set the bar low. i had ro do a search and watch the swearing in of GEJ IN 2011 and that of GEJ tried. he commanded the presence. 1 Like |
