Firstly, let your topic name be descriptive enough. Also, I really do not think it's a sin but try to chat with them if you haven't before. But don't try too hard, if you get snubbed just cut yourself some slack and greet them as usual. BTW, are you the Deeper life or Jehovah witness type?

YOu are better qualified than them, you seem to be ahead of them, but you are still very humble

Am guessing that it is envy that is causing their hatred. But you should remember that Jesus Christ warned us that the world will hate us because we are not of it. We live in the world but we are not of the world. So you should'nt be surprised or annoyed that the people of the world hate you.

The bible said that we should follow peace with all men. Jesus Christ also said that; if we do good to them that do good unto us what thank have we, the people of the world also do that. But if we do good to them that hate us, then we would be like our heavenly Father, that causes His rain to fall on both the just and the wicked. So continue to chat with them and show them kindness, for God is not unjust not to reward your labour of love. You will surely receive your reward.

You should also pray for them regularly. Pray for the salvation of their souls, pray that God should touch their hearts and that the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ will shine on their hearts. The bible said that; pray for the peace of Jerusalem and you shall also have peace(not verbatim). If everybody you work with give their lives to Christ, the hatred and envy will stop. God bless you and peace be unto you in the name of Jesus Christ.

I had had such problem b4 and it was with a female co worker. I will suggest you try and ignore them and just try and reduce ur contact with them with just greetings after all they arent the one to grade you for promotion.
