MY ARSENAL STORY

Alright, hi everyone, OK where should I start from,,,,,,
It no longer a new news that my dear arsenal won the f.a cup for a record 12th time, and a record 6th time for Prof arsene wenger, so I have come up with this series tilled My ARSENAL STORY, dedicated to every loyal arsenal fan, and every true lover of football, IT WON'T BE TOO LONG IF U LOVE FOOTBALL.

Alright, where did it all began, on the 16th of may, 2006, I was a little growing boy then, 11 years of age, I was daddy's little boy and mummy's dear child, I wasn't given freedom to roam around like other kids in our block, though I sneak out to play with the other children once in a while, I was seating in our couch, one evening watching my two big brothers, martins and Mathias, having their ears glued to the radio set, hot fm was the new hit station then, they were not listening to music, the were listening, to sports update, chatting as they did, I was bemused, and forced to ask what is champions league final, and who is Henry, Henry is an arsenal player, matins replied, and tomorrow is the champions league final, versus barca, I will take u to the viewing center and we will watch it together, my heart leaped with joy, I was going to watch a match at the viewing center for the first time, I did like football ball, but the thought of been among a host of crowd jumping and shouting made me happy, i couldn't wait, am going to watch the champions league final, I said that to every one I came across.
Finally, that moment came, on the 17th of may 2006, I was dressed up, as quickly as possible, and we were going to watch the match, "won't it be shown on t.v?" My dad asked my brother, "no, we prefer the viewing center dad, it's more fun and less boring", he replied, my final obstacle was defeated, and that was my dad, he wasn't going to stop me from, watching the match at the viewing center I happily thought, when we got there, the match began proper, the turn up was amazing, and I had to sit at the front to have a good view of the match, "who u go support" Mathias asked me, I took some seconds to think, then replied, the people wearing yellow and black, wetin be their name, I asked, Arsenal, the invisibles he replied, I did not wait to hear the other team's name, my heart went for arsenal, I felt a bond to the team, it was love at first sight, "I LIKE ARSENAL, I WILL SUPPORT ARSENAL I REPLIED"
Little did I know, that this was the beginning of heartbreak, passion, and joy, "me and Bro martins are arsenal fans too," my brother told me. I was happy, we are the arsenal family I said joyfully, the match began and arsenal scored the first goal, "GOAAALLLLLL" I jumped and screamed with my brother, (he lost his singing voice that day ), first half was through, one- nil, my choice payed of, I heard people saying gunners for life, "gunners 4 life," I shouted too, second half soon started, and on the 71th minute or so, eto'o scored, 83th minute, beleti scored too, full time, 2-1 to Barcelona, I was devastated, I felt for ARSENAL as if I knew them for years, we did not eat when we got home that day, sadness loomed over my heart. You are too young to support arsenal, a guy named chizuru told me, you are too young for hearbreaks, I will support them I replied. And from that day on, I started my arsenal journey which haven't ended, till now, I started my research, knew the the players and the coaches, and arsenal started flowing in my veins, I argued and defended them in school, at home, in church, in the field at the viewing center and every where else. Time and time passed on, we were playing good football, but no trophy to atone for it, trophyless club, people will call us, but I kept on proclaiming my allegiance, in arsene we trust, was the motto, we played another final in the carling cup against my dear enemy, Chelsea, and I really thought, we would win this time around, but drogba, arsenal's nightmare, came to their rescue, I remember it like it was yesterday, I cried, and refused to eat again, wenger should just go I thought, it's getting embarrassing, we kept on having the faith, no more points for argument, Chelsea and man united were on fire. Then won't forget the 2010/2011, match against the Almighty Barcelona. Arshavin scoring the screamer and killer goal for arsenal, that was the best arsenal goal of my life it ended 2-1 to arsenal, and I was in cloud nine that day, we eventually lost the second leg 3-1 with van persie sent of controversiallly.
That year, there was one last chance to salvage some pride, in the Carling cup final against the little relegated Birmingham who we beat twice in the league, I remember my friend Frank refusing to eat for till six pm for three days, "are you fasting" I asked yes, he replied, for what I asked, "am praying and fasting for arsenal to win the trophy he said, I was not surprised, as die hard fans we needed that trophy to shut some mouths, so I joined him, and we fasted and prayed,
FINALLY, THAT DAY CAME, and like the other times, I was sitting at the front again.........
