These abstract equations just don't solve anything physically. Fourier series, Laplace transforms, inverse and hyperbolic functions etc are all hogwash. The only law I find relevant periodically is Kirchuff 's law on current when designing a circuit. I don't know what Mr Issac Newton was thinking when he came up with these abstract equations.

I hate to say this But you are wrong. the technology you used in typing this is based on the underlying principles of advanced signal processing. Ever heard of digital to analogue conversion and the inverse process? Ever heard of FFT and IFFT used in OFDM systems (That's what 4G networks and some 802.11 technologies use ). Nigeria doesn't do much research into future tech. At the moment there is research going on for candidate 5G waveform carriers, and It's all based on mathematics. Without mathematics there Would be no technology. Appreciate the beauty of it. X

Algorithms, the basis of computer science and to a large extent what gave zuckerberg and Bill gates their billions, was influenced by mathematics. The gsm innovation was launched in the 90's in Finland after twenty years of brain cracking calculations and experiments. You're using their product on your palms to trivialise them.

take it or dump it...its a real life situation the world over. people choose to recognize and celebrate entrepreneurs who ride on the back of inventors, scientists and engineers to reach the top, deal with it. bill gates did not invent the technology that made him rich, yet he is better recognized and celebrated than all the programmers and scientist put together, same goes for mark zuckerberg. Let me just stop you in your tracks right there.
First, Gates did invent the technology that made him rich. So did Zuckerberg.
Of course, they didn't reinvent the wheel, but they contributed immensely to that part of the framework that made them rich. Hence, the reason they are way more celebrated that your drab Dangote or Adenuga.

Now, Dangote and Adenuga are not more famous than many of the scientists and engineers who developed the groundwork of what they profit from. Neither are Gates and Zuckerberg. To you, of course, who wants to "make money" or amass wealth, these people may be celebrities or you may be full of admiration and worship for them. That's totally understandable.

But in the general scheme of things, Dangote and Adenuga or whatever other ordinary rich man there is are not automatically well-celebrated than the scientists who drive the frontiers of knowledge are. The 20-21st century world has come to respect men of knowledge, the likes of Hawking, Jobs or Nash, innovators who push the limits of creativity. Dangote and Adenuga don't fall in this category. Of course, this doesn't mean they are not smart; they just aren't pushing it in that respect.
