Part two will be uploaded in the next two days. Though it's easier with the applications but it's important you understand the principle of how to set it up when issues arise.

SECTION B

MATERIALS NEEDED

SOFTWARE : TRUECAFE.

ensure you have gone through section A above and are familiar with the steps.

1. put on the wireless access on your laptop
2. activate the virtual wireless adaptor from the tutorial above. If you have a router, attach it to the laptop via the Ethernet port but do not share internet access from the wireless adaptor of the laptop to the Ethernet port or the virtual wi-fi adaptor you created from above
3. install and launch Truecafe
4. log into Truecafe
5. click on SETUP directly above NEW at the top left of the window that appears
6. . Under the WI-FI section, click on “WIFI Setup Wizard”. Ensure you have done steps 1 and 2 above.
7. study the picture that appears then click next
8. in the first box, select the network adaptor connected to the internet i.e the WI-FI ( if set up correctly it will have an IP address next to it)
9. in the second box, select the virtual wifi created or the router connected to the Ethernet port ( will also have an IP address next to it.
10. Tick the box next to “Yes, I have an extra wi-fi access point/ router”. From the drop down box, select your router model. If you are using the virtual wi-fi adaptor or can’t find your router model, select “any other model” then click Next.
11. On the next screen do not untick any box. Click Run.
12. On the next screen, you will be asked to reset your router. Ignore the instructions and click Next
13. If you want to change the subnet of the network you are about to create, you can specify it now. If not, ignore and press Run and Next.
14. At the “configure basic wi-fi setting, click next and next.
15. At the Enable internet connection sharing screen, ensure that LAN1is where internet is accessed and LAN2 is where internet is to be shared to. It should by either Ethernet or Virtual wi-fi. Click Run.
16. At the next screen, do not restart your router or virtual wifi adapter. Click next.
17. Now is time to text your wifi. Connect to the access point created by the router or virtual wifi with a wifi enabled device and browse a few sites e.g. nairaland. If the sites can be accessed, proceed to the next step. If the sites can.t be accessed, disconnect the router / virtual wifi and restart the router but do not shut down the truecafe program.
18. Now for the billing. Click start. At the next screen, it will ask to start billing. Click run and wait.
19. If the page disappears, click on the tab on the task bar. Now try and browse a few sites. You will be directed to a captive portal.
20. Congratulations. You have setup your first Home based cyber café. In the next section I will show you how to create time based and data based tickets, setup a captive portal home page, advertise on your captive portal and how to extend the range of your wifi. Below is a picture of my captive portal.

NOTE.
1. If you utilized computer to set up the virtual router you must setit up with a password. I am yet to come across how to overcome this issue. It is better to set up the above with a long range cheap router or a repeater logged on to the virtual wifi having open access.
2. Do not allow the laptop to hibernate or go to sleep. You will then have to start from the beginning.

I use this. On stock firmware it's wifi range is wider than that of an android hotspot. However I installed Openwrt into it and made it wider.

I have two of that router. One connects to the virtual router created by my laptop and bridges the network, extending is range. The other connects to the first router extending it more. Both routers run on batteries or power banks thus at full charge can run for 4 to 6 hours straight. For the range, can cover a three story building and about a distance of two poles.
For the openwrt, check openwrt.org but don't flash it unless you are versatile with openwrt. For now, you can't revert back to stock firmware and you lose streaming capability.

Use a USB modem to access the Internet from the laptop then create a virtual router with the laptop. The laptop must be connected to the Internet for the setup to work.

1. Ensure that you followed the steps in section A.
2. Before you get to section B, on your laptop go to Network and Internet > Network and sharing center > Change adapter settings.
3. If you did it correctly, the virtual wifi will be visible in Network Connections. If not visible, read section A and turn it on. It MUST be visible in Network Connections before you start the software or else it will not be seen.

i did section A well.. my problem is that am using the same modem i used to share with my virtual adapter, you asked me to create a virtual wifi with the modem since i dont have eternet, but i cant share the modem with it without the other virtual adapter disappearing/disconnecting.

NOTE the virtual adapter i created using Section A is showing on truecafe
but the one for the modem isn't showing up(which am suppose to use for the first box on truecafe.

Now I understand. I don't have a USB modem however, apart from the virtual wifi which other network is visible in Network Connection?

Your Internet access is via MTN HSPA, which is a dial up. Select it in the first box.

in the boxes i saw this connection "local area connection*12" which is not in the adapter setting in control panel so i am just having the feeling its the MTN HSPA tho its showing the ip as (0.0.0.0) i changed it to the MTN HSPA IP followed the remaining steps did everything connected to the wifi with another laptop but its showing limited and cant browse. even the truecafe portal isn't loading.
Re: How To Setup A Home Cyber Café by raynold(m): 12:17pm On Oct 16, 2015
everthing seems to be working now, connected with a laptop to the wifi and it directed me to the Cafe login, i tried setting up a username and password it connected but wasn't browsing, tho i think i know the problem to that one.. the only problem now is setting up a proper cafe portal.. also the part where you type the name in the address bar isnt working? its coming up with a blank page.
since it automatically redirects to the login page how do i off the security password.. really anticipating your next SECTION.
