A massive fire broke out around the Idimu axis of Ejigbo, Lagos state early Saturday morning after a tanker fully loaded with diesel exploded.

Casualty figure from the incident which started some minutes after 12am and still burning hours later are still sketchy.

The heavily loaded tanker reportedly ran into a building resulting in burning of several houses and properties.

The incident occurred around a crowded area. Many people are feared dead.

Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Federal and State fire services have converged at the scene.

Its obvious the tanker drivers are working without resting in a bid to make plenty money. Policies should be put in place to ensure that they do not work more than specific hours in a week.

Honestly this tanker explosion don de become like planned work o the other day A tanker driver said his tanker failed brake and d safest place to crash the tanker was in a motor park

Now anoder tanker driver again now telling us the safest place to crash this one is in anoder crowded area and a personal building

The question now becomes:

Are there No bushes around to crash a tranker loaded with oil so as to reduce casualty b4 NEMA and FIRE SERVICE arrives ??

Honestly In the last one month the rate of tanker crash has increased more than ever
