for the reason why k.iheanacho must continue roasting corn on the bench:

REWIND TO HIS SUBSTITUTION IN FIRST GAME AGAINST BRASIL...

I understand that many nigerians either didn't watch that match OR didn't notice the way iheanacho reacted to being substituted. Any coach would be disappointed at the disrespect to he showed to his teammates.

The guy needs to be put in his place after that reaction.

most definitely and he proved his point that the team isnt about him, just believe that the stakes here are very high ...... and to me he iheancho must have learnt his lesson, and seen that they other boys are also starving to get half the light or spotlight he has gotten buh the brilliance of ihenacho coupled with awoniyiz deft and insightful attacking acumen and owing to the fact that they have worked together will pay off...

truthfully though football is a team game but we need a creative and experienced playmaker ....just my one cent

chidexxy007:

so because u want kelechi to develop, it should impede d growth of others right?
I guess Iheneacho isn't playing cos d coaching staff isn't seeing enough commitment from him no training and as a coach u wouldn't wanna cause discontent among d players just cos he's playing 4 Man city.... after all Moses simon, Yahaya and Successs are also not playing(and dy a quite good players)... so chill my guy, Iheneacho time go come
u guess, not fact... you have no evidence for all this things u spewed... listen kelechi is nigeria's most talented youth player, this tourney ought to have been further development for him to grow... people say he had a bad game against brazil without remembering its was nigeria's toughest game so far... what makes u think he wouldn't have shone in the remaining so called easier games?.. he needed time to blend not benching.

African coaches especially Nigerian coaches lack techincal knowlegde of being a coach, can you imagine not substituting a player for 90mins and now his colleague decided to bench his best player.

What a country, employing coaches with no idea n technical know how.

I'm not as jobless as all those that would be commenting on an 8:30am match when I get work to go. And so, I won't post any comment.

Meanwhile, this our coach lineup is suspicious. Is he looking for best-loser spot? Damn!

if a team is gelling as a unit, why break it up to add another player at a crucial time?

Your time zone and their own is hours apart, that's why. In a lay man's language, their evening is your morning. We cannot blame FIFA for awarding hosting rights to a country that qualified for it, abi?
