A thread that has potential to cause disagreement of this nature between Nigerians and Ghanians shouldn't be encouraged at all. Rather than us behaving like brothers and sisters within west africa,we are raining insults on each other based on what we each think president Buhari should have worn or not. Where would it lead us to? No where! I think we should get past the level of immaturity and learn to be civil with each other. We should learn to respect ourselves here on social media. Haba! Since yesterday people blood just dey boil for nothing. Its uncalled for abeg. Tomorrow, both presidents may have reason to sit down over a drink or something to discuss pressing issues but una dey here dey fight for an absolutely mundane issue. 4 Likes |

Even though I always choose to wear a suit for governmental functions, it is not set in stone. The reason I prefer the suit is simple. This kind of governance is foreign to us...Do when we participate in it, let us consider presenting ourselves in the most sitting attire for it. If you say wearing suit is not our culture, I will ask you, is having a corporate government with 3 arms our culture? Are presidency, senate, elections, judiciary party of our culture? But we adopted it as best for us, let us also adopt the dress code fit for it. You wouldn't play football with your kaftan...our would you? Our traditional attires are best suited to our traditional events and occasions...which are no less events as diurnal government meetings. 1 Like |

He represented Africa in African attire. I am proud of that. We should learn how to present and market our own. |

6fit:Like i said. He did not bash the president on behalf of the Ghanaian people. So it does not amount to insults. If there should be any insult it should be directed towards him. For me I saw nothing wrong in buhari wearing his traditional attire. I did not even take note until the presenter called the issue out. Dressing in traditional attire is not new to even the Ghanaian president. He is sometimes seen in his traditional attire. So like I said one man's views does not dictate for a people. This is not a case that should be escalating into something. I consider it immature to pick a bone from such an issue. 2 Likes |
