Just What Is It About This Man, Tinubu And What's Next? by whitecat1: 5:30pm On Jun 11, 2015
Has hating Tinubu mired the new hope of change and fight against corruption?

While Tinubu is far from being a saint, he isn't the worst among the politicians. While I believe the senate should be allowed to pick their president, the democracy we have in Nigeria is all about negotiation and there's nothing wrong in that as long as we pick the best. Jagaban is known for picking the best for the job and has more than displayed his love for the development of the country by picking people like Fashola, then Buhari against the moneybag Atiku, and now Lawan, a better man for the seat considering the corruption cases hanging on Saraki's neck!

How can you hate just one man(though colossal) this much and pull a trigger on your own throat? This makes me to want to take a second look at this man and implore my great people(Yoruba) to pay attention, just maybe you can see the reason why he's hated. Don't allow any negative reason they give you stand because, they worship worse than him in their neck of the wood. There's no single day without a thread opened about him, and no thread unrelated to him gets to the 2nd page without his mention? There are people who have dedicated every minute of their lives to vilifying this man. There's always going to be a hater but, when is it too much?

Buhari betrayed Tinubu and Apc recently, I know Tinubu will take it like a trooper and keep it moving because things of this nature should have come up in his mind at one time that 'what if Buhari decides to renege on agreements' and the answer kept in a polar bag until it's needed.

Does Buhari still care about Apc? Did he just want to ride on the merger's back to the Asorock and then dispose it for his former party or another? Does he get it that, the haters are pulling Tinubu away from him to make Apc vulnerable? what exactly is he going to gain from Saraki's emergence if they aren't on the same page?

Nothing will give pdp more joy than Tinubu pulling out of apc, one that is the end of the party, two pdp is sure of 2019.

Can saraki build a party to fave pdp, his influence ends in the current position. This is saraki at his best he cannot be president ever nor can he be a VP in future.

He has passed across a message and its a very lovely one. He joins Atiku on the list if unelectable politicians in Nigeria.

The goodwill fashola enjoys today is because he knows which battles to fight and when to concede, Fashola as it stands has more political prospect than Atiku, saraki and David mark all rolled into one.

The future is fashola and elrufai

This is what Saraki praise singers failed to realize, Saraki political future is already burried by that singular act of going against his party. Atiku, Oshoba, Jimi where are they today?
We have move into that era where any negative information no matter how flimsy will make a politician a hard sell so which serious political party will want to present a Bukola Saraki?.
My advise to him is to enjoy that position while it last.

The joy of the pdp is to achieve internal disagreement within the merger(which was inevitable). Now that it has been achieved, bad blood grown, seed of discord sown, the PDP shall take its pound of flesh in 2019. We don't need Saraki or those rebels to defect to PDP, neither do we count on them for party growth. They should remain there and continue to tear the APC apart while credible Nigerians join hands in rebuilding the PDP. Come 2019 we all shall meet at the polls.

I agree with most of your points but Tinubu himself need to learn not to fight all battles. He could have handled this assembly leadership crisis better if only he was ready to concede some ground to other power blocs in the party. Like Dele Momodu said earlier today, we can't all continue to deceive him that he will be the sole decision maker in the party. Lots of other people also contributed significantly to the success of the party. He most recognise their contributions and carry them along both in decision making and sharing of positions. Federal government is not Lagos where he runs things unchecked. He his a leader I so much belief in and I hope he would have learnt one or two lessons from what happened on Tuesday. In this life, you win some and lose some. You can't always win or have your way all the time.

Op...you are damn right. However, I'll implore you to move on. The Northern caucus has highjacked Buhari's presidency, brainwashed him to make him see Tinubu as the enemy exactly what they did to Gej. Lesson learned. It's high time the Yorubas learnt to support their own. They are the most disunited ethnic group in the Nigeria as we speak. Tinubu is not perfect, but certainly not the worst as people want to make us believe. One thing you cannot take away from him is his knack for bringing out the best people for the Job.

You may or may not be able to achieve that cos everything is the air but one thing is that Apc will whack the overgrown moles among them and rebuild if they care about their party, and know they will be coming for blood!

No Yoruba man who means well for his people would antagonize Tinubu

Tinubu even though he isnt perfect, Has shown his style of leadership and we can all see that he allows excellent individuals to rise to the top even when they dont have political clout

The way he supported Fashola, Buhari even against all odds

There is only one way out for the APC...I assure you that this strategy adopted by the party will NOT work. I have been following Tinubu since 2003, I must say that he's a political smartee and a genius. But trust me trend is changing and he's yet to come to terms to reorganise his strategy. I won't go further but I assure you that this strategy employed by you guys won't work.
Re: Just What Is It About This Man, Tinubu And What's Next? by whitecat1: 6:52pm On Jun 11, 2015
You are still making it about Tinubu instead of the issue on ground!
Tinubu is in the corridor of power and must have a say like everyone too especially when he know he's supporting the best candidate.

Would you rather swim 200 miles because Tinubu is the rescue boat?

exactly what I analyse in one of the thread yesterday. Tinubu will be back stronger, he is use to been opposition. Now that his Party is the commander, I see no reason he will jeorpadise the process. He is very intelligent.
