Incidents of child abuse are becoming rampant.. Children will always be children and prone to misbehaving. The Bible didn't say we should use d "rod" to kill d child. It should be to curb excesses.

That girls needs to be removed from the house ASAP. Take her to the nearest police station and proceed from there. If anyone has the number of the Local police, please give me. Even though a phone call is not much, its something. If nairalanders keep calling the Enugu police endlessly, they may respond.

Its a shame that a country as big as Nigeria has no child protective services. My heart bleeds for her. If i were in Enugu, i would happily take her into my home.

What sort of madness is this? Why's child abuse becoming so rampant in this country that it has almost become a norm? This is no longer correcting a child, it is brutality against an innocent child. I hope this gets to the right agency.

HMm, heartbroken right now. U shud find out first what she did that promted such punishment. Prolly, the child steal? If that's d case u shud know in a typical nigerian home its expected to be treated that way but u shud then talkk to d mother that there's a line drawn between discipline and abuse and this is ady abuse
