The Governor of Rivers State Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has set a commission of inquiry to probe the administration of Amaechi.
The commission is to investigate the sale of Omoku gas turbine, Eleme gas turbine, and two other gas turbines by the administration of Amaechi. They are also task to investigate the sale of the ongoing monorail in port Harcourt, the sale of Olympic hotel amongst others.
The judicial commission of inquiry is headed by Justice George Omereji.
The judicial commission which will be inaugurated today by 12noon is to submit her findings within 30days.

The Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has appointed a Judicial Commission of Enquiry to investigate the past administration of former Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

The Judicial Commission is to be headed by Justice George Omereji of the state High Court.

A statement signed by the Governor said the commission amongst other responsibilities will investigate the sale of the Omoku Mega Gasturbine, the Afam gasturbine and the Eleme gasturbine.


The statement further said the commission will also investigate the sale of the Olympia Hotel, the Monorail Project, the disbursement of N2billion Agricultural Credit Fund and the withdrawal of N96billion Rivers state Reserve Fund.

Governor Wike said the Commission is expected to submit its report 30 days after its sitting.

The Commission has 33 points of reference bothering on identifying those who purchased the state’s assets and where the proceeds of the assets are.

The Rivers state government said the commission of Enquiry will be inaugurated later today with Florence Fiberesima as its secretary.

But going about how these properties were sold and the money not accounted for don't you think questions should be asked?

A governor who has a derious case in the tribunal, instead of wike to start performing he is busy witch hunting Amaechi and his aides.
