I was wondering if anyone could quote a verse from Odu Ifa on the subject of friendship. What it means to be/have a good, true, and trusted friend, something along those lines.

There are quite a few odu that talk about friendship. I remember hearing one that talks about 2 friends Owo (money) and Ore (friend). It was quite funny, in the odu they fell out over some financial matters and in retaliation Owo took his walking stick and poked Ore in the Eye. Apparently that was where the yoruba expression 'owo ti ba oju ore je' came from. It means money has spoilt the face of friendship.

Then I know that Ose meji talks a lot about friendships too. I don't know the details but I know that there is a verse about the friendship between the pail and the waterpot.

Here's another one that can be found under Ose Ogbe:
