This was uplifted from a facebook account this morning. Nigerian Police beating up a man because he was told to come out of the car and he refused.

My Question is, is it lawful to beat up a civilian in this manner regardless of the fact that he/she disobeys the law or not? Please people that have legal skills in here, we need your help. Positive contributions please. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/06/is-it-lawful-for-police-to-beat-up.html#sthash.vZlfvR3Z.dpuf

Very very wrong.

There is no law or laws that protects ordinary citizens in this country.

The offender might have be wrong. All the police needs is to arrest him, this is why hand-cuffs are provided to handcuff disobedient offenders and not to beat them in public or while in police custody.

Nigerian Police force is the most corrupt institution in Nigeria. It has been estimated that, Millions of naira are paid by citizens to NPF as bribe yearly.

It is well

angry This is against the law, and those foolish officers need to be prosecuted 4 human right violations! The sooner naija becomes a litigious society the better! Fines, sacking and sanctions should be the penalties for all found guilty in a court of law!
