I was fortunate to discover early in life how the outcomes in human lives are created. Every result we get in life either success or failure is a product of thinking, but a lot of people have not come to terms with this reality, they still blame God, devil, or their family background as the reason for their wretchedness not knowing they are responsible for the outcomes in their lives.

The foundation of every creation process is thought. If anything exists today, it is because someone thought about it. If there is anything you have right now, it is either you thought about it and got it, or someone thought about it and got it for you. The physical eye is useless in the creation process, though it can serve as a source of information from the external environment, it is what the man sees with his mind, and which he later converts to material of its equivalent through action that the eyes can see and interact with. The popular maxim says, “sow a thought, reap an action, sow an action reap a habit, so a habit reap a character, and sow a character, reap a destiny. The creation process proceeds from thought to action, from action to results or outcomes. The way you think is the way you live, said harry lorayne, I add, the way you live determines the outcome you get. So in the long run it is your thought that shapes your life.

It has been said that thousands of thoughts or ideas run through the mind of the average human being everyday but most of them are negative. This call for the reason why we need to be selective of what we think about, though for a starter is may be difficult, but with practice you can come to a point where you can you choose the thought you think, even when you are constantly bombarded by negative thoughts. I have attained that level of awareness where I can control my thoughts. To become who we want to be it is essential that we develop the ability to select the thought we want to accommodate. Charles Darwin once said, the highest possible stage in moral culture is when we recognized that we ought to control our thoughts. For you to be the captain of the thought you think, you have to do three things.

· Learn how to identify you thoughts: One of the reasons why people are victims of negative thoughts is because they can’t identify their thoughts. Controlling your thought begins by knowing the names of all the thoughts that passes through your mind, thoughts are often expressed in emotion such as anger, self pity, frustration and so on, by knowing the names then you can easily identify their sources by asking, yourself of how you found yourself in that state.

· Know the consequence of your thought: I wrote earlier that thoughts manifest inform of certain emotions, it is these emotions that influences our actions and consequently create our destinies. Every emotion carries along with it certain consequence which may be positive or negative. It depends on the emotion or thought. James Allen, the author of ''as a man thinketh’’ said ''lust, hatred, anger, vanity, pride, covetousness, self indulgence, self seeking, obstinacy, all these are poverty and weakness, whereas love, purity, gentleness, meekness, patience, compassion, generosity, self forgetfulness , self renunciation, all these are wealth and power.'' Knowing the consequence of your thoughts will motivate you to shift your mind from destructive thoughts to thoughts that can serve you positively.

· Control your thoughts: Force your mind to focus only on thoughts that can help you to actualize your dreams

Your thoughts are powerful as they are the creator of goods and ills, wealth and poverty, happiness and wretchedness.

To get your desired results you must learn to organize your thoughts and allow the beneficial ones to rule your heart. Napoleon hill said, cherish your vision and your dreams (thoughts) as they are the children of your own soul and the blueprints of your ultimate achievements.

Thoughts always comes first before action. Because events are formed by the thoughts we have, and gradually these events become real because there is a law of nature governing such.

A very insightful post. My own + 'The universe presents to us what the mind emits' The human mindset is a very powerful tool.

Good write up but I must add that thought can't create much as we imagined, what really creates is emotion. Emotions generate thought then action. Emotion is really the thing creating our reality that is why the aim of positive affirmation is not to repeat words aimlessly but to use that word to generate emotion. So basically, emotion can generate thought and thought can also generate emotion.
If you can release negative emotions from yourself then you don't have to force yourself to release negative thoughts because positive emotions will always generate positive thoughts. That is why the right way is to deal with your emotions and the rest will fall in place.
