Creating 14,000 Jobs in Masters Energy’s Industrial City

President of Masters Energy Group, Mr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah
Having recorded enormous success at its Energy City in Port Harcourt, where it created over 600 direct and 4,000 indirect jobs, Masters Energy Group, a conglomerate with over 25 subsidiaries, is poised to create 14,000 new jobs at its Industrial City under construction at Isikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State. Ejiofor Alike reports

Since it started operation a couple of years ago, Masters Energy Group has diversified from the supply of petroleum products into other sectors of the economy in a bid to create jobs and empower Nigerians.

With over 4,000 direct jobs and 1,200 indirect jobs created nationwide, the company has an ambitious short term target of 42,000 persons in its workforce.
The President of the Group, Mr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah is known for his huge appetite for risks, which has paid off as evidenced in the company’s several successful investments scattered all over the country.

For instance, when most companies were running away from the Niger Delta region because of security challenges, the company built Masters Energy City worth several billions of naira in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The 158,000metric tonne-capacity petroleum products storage facility has helped to ensure availability and affordability of petroleum products in the south-south; south-east and north-east geopolitical zones.
This single investment has also provided direct employment of over 600 and over 4,000 indirect jobs for the people of Niger Delta region.

It is also estimated that the company’s one-stop-shop Industrial City under construction at Onuaku – Uturu in Isikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State will increase these figures by over 14,000 when the factories commence operations in the next few months.

In a bid to revive economic and social activities, ensure job creation and reduce the crime rate in the South East, with the attendant spill-over effects in other parts of the country, Masters Energy Group in 2011 commenced the construction of the Industrial City in Abia State.

The Industrial City sitting on a very large expanse of land in the relatively peaceful and quiet town will be the hub of economic activities on completion.
Already massive construction works on about seven companies of the Master Energy Group notably in petrochemicals, lubricant, organic fertilizer, plastic, food processing plants are about 80 per cent completed and will be ready for commissioning in some months’ time.

The City will also on full completion have a palm oil processing plant and a steel processing plant for the production of pipe and steels for the Exploration and Production (E&P) for the oil and gas industries.

At the back of the massive complex, the company will have what it visualises to be an Agricultural City, which would house a gigantic poultry farm envisaged to be one of the best if not the best in South-East of the Niger. It is going to have a fish farm, a green house where the company will produce vegetables and other arable products for export.

“We have invested heavily in infrastructures and development of our host communities. Our service as a company is anchored on integrity, social responsibility and customer satisfaction. These three values shape all our transactions as they represent our service offerings to the public. The company is heavy on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
Though silently done, our feeling is that the CSR that is the empowerment of citizens of the country. That is why we take job creation seriously because that is the only way to guarantee good life and security for everyone,” said Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Emma Iheanacho.

Seven factories in one city
Conducting journalists around the construction site recently, the Head of Administration at the Industrial City, Mr. Emmanuel Arukwe .....continue

There are other facilities like

if you go by nairaland SE is nothing but in reality it really is something. Why you don't hear about them is because they are more indigenous companies than foreign. More especially by sons and daughters of the soil

yes he should. I just took pictures of mostly the irrelevant parts of it. I made it clear that i will not post picture other than what should be online for now. Some of these factories already have all equipment installed already like the plastic. The yellow big house that is in my last picture has almost been completed just don't consider the outside views.

hahaha. i was just showing you picture of fire house and a cafeteria nothing so important ok. If you check some pictures of it that i posted last year or so, it was just a portion also just the lubricant part of it not even all. Take a look at the fertilizer plant in the back ground in the picture below .
Look at the first picture in my second picture post you will notice from the small house that leads to the security post there are many structure in the back ground. You cannot cover all unless you are on a helo NOTE: Anything i called small could actually be bigger than your house. Example the yellow house is bigger than football pitch and almost taller than a three storey building.

Quit being emotional... You said GIGANTIC. That's the keyword, I was waiting to see the gigantic structures but yet again, I was disappointed. Post pictures when the "gigantic" structures are completed.

for the records i was not the one that created the thread,
secondly the place is really gigantic no emotions no sentiments about it. The description i have given you, does it show any lie? i have shown you a distant picture of only fertilizer plant while standing on another site for a new plant, was it not massive.
Well, use google on earth type onuaku abia state, i think it will help you alot.
