The Igbo Governors and leaders should call for a referendum and vote to leave Nigeria. That is a start. Igbos can also move home to support their new country. Let all the Eastern States unanimously agree about this. Buhari is going to see Obama. Take your protest to Washington. I have never been afraid of Nigeria breaking. That fear is left for the rich, politicians and power hungry who think any little rumble will disturb their embezlement, social status etc. To me Radio Biafra is no the way. While it is good to promote your cause, the awareness of Biafra is alreay in the hearts of Igbos. Take the right and appropriate actions. I am Kalabari Ijaw. As for me, I choose to remain in Nigeria. You know why? If Ijaws leave Nigeria, there still won't be peace. The Kalabaris will fight the Okrikas. The Bilees will not want kalabaris to rule. As a matter of fact in Abonemma the Briggs will not submit to the bobmanuels. See what is happening in South Sudan today. My thoughts today as I ponder on the matter. It could change tomorrow. 3 Likes |

When it comes to BIAFRA, the Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis are the WORST hypocrites. They bitterly hate the Igbos and indeed the southern minorities and would want them to leave Lagos etc and go stay in their own country! But in contradiction to their true feelings, they don't want Biafra because they want to perpetuate their right to collect the lion share of the oil resources sourced from the same peoples land, using the bogus criteria they foisted on the country called Nigeria. Without oil in Igboland and Southern minorities part of Nigeria, Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani would have long seceded from Nigeria. FACT! I know just like me, many of our people are not 100% convinced Biafra is the answer, while many others already are. Therefore, we should agitate for a UN sponsored referendum on the Biafra issue . Northern Ireland fought the British for 30 years for the independence of Northern Ireland, but the referendum proved that majority of the people wanted to stay in the UK. Likewise, the South Sudan's referendum proved majority of South Sudanese wanted to be in their own country. Therefore, a United Nations sponsored referendum should be the demand to see if majority of our people support independence or to stay in Nigeria. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Those benefiting from stealing the resources of other people want the zoo to remain intact, while those being violated and cheated want out. The only way to save this zoo called a country is to implement the decisions of the CONFAB or organize a true Sovereign national Conference. The more the kleptomaniac Buhari regime delays this, the louder and more dangerous the clamor for independence will get. The only reason it hasn't got so bad is that the majority of folks have not been convinced that independence is the solution. The more nothing is done to assure all citizens of their stake in nigeria, the worse it will naturally get. |

mrtidier: Taking the path of a UN backed referendum is like suing someone who killed your son and getting him convicted to face punishment by the state as opposed to taking the law into your own hands and killing the person yourself. in which case, you will be tried for murdering someone, even if he were a murderer himself. Referendum achieves what war and killing cannot. besides, if it is sponsored by the United nations, it's outcome becomes a UN resolution which is binding on all member states. In fact, if it requires military action to enforce, it is now an issue of the United nations. Those clamoring in the bushes just don't know the power of using the legally permissible methods to address the issue. 1 Like |

ArodewilliamsT: I won't have any business with your referendum. It is your decision if the opportunity arises. Be sure that I will advocate that you all go form your country. I would rather not share a country with a tribe that is devoid of any objectivity, and is quick to inject an ethnic perspective to every discuss, even judicial matters. |
