Hi guys, my beloved christian brethren. Here is a piece of write up that will expand our Christian minds to some truthful realities.
Let’s just imagine that a terrible prophet of let’s say songo comes into town or our Christian community with a large audience and witnesses and says he can reproduce what Christ did at the tomb of joseph Arimathea to prove that what Christians hold spectacular about Christ is not actually spectacular and that there is nothing unique in our sole called Christ’s resurrection, that he can also die and be resurrected on the third day. How many of us will believe such a person? Off course we will all laugh both in our minds and outside that its only Christ that can do such a thing, we will just ignore him saying he is just “blabbing” some of us will even go to the extent of praying in tongues (shabalbashabalbasoka oh lord do not let this man tarnish your image and reputation!!!). And this man actually puts it into play by dieing by whatever means and confirmed dead by experts then buried in a maximum security burial ground in case of any show of craftiness .and on that faithful third day in front of everybody there was thunder, lighten ,and earthquakes around the man’s tomb aaaaaand Hoola!!! The man comes back alive. How will you guys feel about it? Disappointed? Embarrassed for Jesus ? After so much boasting that its only Christ that can do such a thing and that it is at the end of the world at the sound of the trumpet that all dead men will rise again! Alright I know some of us will console ourselves with this “the man will still die back” that he can’t live forever, but to our surprise he didn’t die, well not in the existence of our present generation, well let’s just say he lives longer than all of us. What is going to be said then? How are we going to feel? That he has destroyed the theology we’ve held on to for so long and finally belittled the image and reputation of Jesus Christ !!!
Nooooo !!! Not at all I am just so happy to tell you now that the resurrection power, that Christ’s concept of “resurrection” is far beyond the power that can only raise the physical body up. It is not the receiving of the sprite of a man from anywhere back into his body. A man who is raised from the dead is completely different from a man who has experienced resurrection which is what we partook when we believed in his name and shared in the resurrection of Christ Jesus for we are resurrected in Christ Jesus (col 2;12) by new birth (born again). So in the actual context the unique beauty of Christ’s resurrection was not just limited to what marry mandalen saw at the tomb of joseph where Jesus was buried. Its beauty is actually the raising up of the real man(the spirit man)not his house(the body) who is dead in Adam (Eph 2;5, rom5;17) because of sin, from the place of the dead alienated from God “hell” into heavenly places by the sprite of God through faith. So the original power of resurrection that was at work in Jesus at the grave and is currently at work in us now is the power that brought Jesus Christ’s spirit from the darkest and lowest part of the dead (hell) Eph4;9 (he was there because he was made sin for us) to the right hand of God in the heavenly places far above principalities and powers Eph1;20(so we can see that resurrection was not just raising jesus from the grave back to the earth) we too partook of this when we gave ourselves to god and we were raised by faith from the realm of the dead in our sprite man far above principalities and powers(EPH2;6). Praise God . So the actual resurrection took place in the spirit of Jesus before it finally came to his body. That of the body we also shall partake of that at the end of the age( 1pet1;3). I am glad to tell you that anyone who has experienced resurrection has crucified sin and had victory over death so don’t feel bad or embarrassed for God if any one wakes up one morning saying he will die and wake back on the third day. That’s not the exact meaning of resurrection our lord Jesus did. Anyone can die and by some strange powers come back to life don't be surprised that. But no one can transfer “himself” from the place of the dead to the highest heavenly places this is the true resurrection.
