I'm a single mother who came to serve in the East.I passed out with this last batch B. I want to move to Lagos or anywhere with job opportunities and get a good job but I have no money. Nobody's willing to help and I can't go home. I need to leave here as soon as possible. Please I need suggestions on how I can get money to move to and rent a place. Please help!

Hello!

I'm quite touched by your plight and i do hope despite these initial challenges you surmount them all in good time dear.

You need to define the following before you embark on any move though.

What can you do for income? especially if you do not get a job on time*. What handcrafts/skills sets do you have? Explore being able to do this by the side even if with a job.

It may be better/easier to move to a town with lower accommodation costs for eg. Lagos is an expensive town especially for someone who's just starting out you may wanna consider other towns at first.

Ease/Access to child care- depending on the age of your child.

Hope these help with the plans (for a start at least )

You just registered today and this is your first post, in other words you are a stranger to the forum. It will be better if you can shed more light on Your situation. Where were you based before service, why can't you go back? What's your qualification? Do you know anybody in Lagos? How were you supporting yourself and your child before youth service? Don't you have family?

Nairalanders and Nigerians in general are kind and very generous people but some people will want to take advantage of this generosity. Recently we've had a scammer with a son story of how his family is about to be evicted and he can't pay his school fees. How do you convince us that you're for real?

Gbam!
It's either she's fake or a deluded y.i.bo gal who thinks money and good jobs litters the streets of Lasgidi.
An a.b.oki/yoruba gal won't behave like her.

Thanks a lot. But I didn't ask for money. I asked for suggestions. But at the end of the day I just needed to talk to someone. And I guess the too many questions in my head made me come to this forum. You see what the first person who answered posted? That's all I needed.

Thank you again. I'll rule out Lagos from the picture. I don't have much handicraft skills. But I write prose, poems and other things well.

I didn't expect to get cyberbullied this way but hey I dont mind. Let me apologize for sounding so beguiled. The internet has always been my companion ever since I was 13 hence my turning to it today. Again I say I didn't ask for money, I simply asked for suggestions. In order words, I wanted advice. Well I guess this is what I get. Thanks a lot. smiley And oh, looking at my username, you'll notice I'm yoruba.

Yoruba ni ke?!
Chai, you don fall my hand.
Anyway, now you'r talking.
Your original post portrayed you as fake basterrrd. (omo buruku ti ko n'iran)
what i'ma tell you is to go home and find something to do unless youre a sagittarian.
If youre a saggy, you relocate to a greener pasture.
In conclusion, you can make it anywhere.

No one is cyber bullying you
These are basic questions anyone will ask if you need help beit a job, accomodation or money( which u are insisting you never requested for)
You re a new account hence the first thought anyonewill have is that this is an account opened solely for raising money aka scam
