Don't know if Gurgle answered ur question, but basically it's a sin because you're using the name of the lord in vain. In vain in this case, like Gurgle said, is using it in the same capacity that you would use a swear word.

Some people when they have passionate sex say 'f*ck f*ck' or 'shiiiiiit' or other commonly acknowledged swear words. So if you say 'Jesus' or 'God' or 'Lord' you're using it as a curse and hence taking the name of the Lord in vain.

Just like when people drop things on their toes and curse like 'f*ck that hurt!' Some people will also say 'Jesus/God, that hurt!' But they're not calling God or praying to him. So they used the name of the lord in vain, cause they used it as a curse.

Whether sex is outside marriage blah blah is a different issue. So, she's not saying that sex is a sin. She's saying whether premarital or after marriage, it's not right to call Gods name in that way during sex.

In my opinion it's better to just shout fuuuuuck
