We all like to think we can predict how a movie will end.

The bad guy dies, the good guy wins and gets the girl blah, blah, blah, or something like that

But there still some odd movies out there that shock with their unpredictable endings.

For me

Identity A movie by John Cusack and some other ppl. Starts like the usual with we all meet at the motel routine and there is someone stalking us and killing us one by one. Whilst I waited for the killer to be unmasked at the end, I found out that all the motel people were actually characters in the mind of a schizophrenic. And while being transported to an asylum he kills the doctor that saved him from being gassed!

BUG One of the sickest movies I have seen, where someone absolutely insane CONVINCES a sane person to
commit suicide with him to escape the clutches of a weird experiment-BUGS.

so many films with unpredictable ending. hey, is there any Nollywood that has got a good plot twist, I mean a Nollywood with unpredictable ending. i'm still trying to find out. who know one? please suggest and i will check it out.

Sixth Sense was crazy one of the best unpredictable endings EVER!

'Unknown' with Jim Caviezel had a slightly off ending.

'Minority Report' has the most off-the-wall ending in Spielberg's annals.

Are you saying that its so hard to find a Nollywood with an unpredictable ending. thats sad. I have watched less that 5% of Nollywood released and have not really found any.

You know the once i watched i can even predict the ending from the opening credit or even soundtrack . the soundtrack tells you the whole movie. you dont even need to watch it again cos you know the film is saying the girl being maltreated by her step mother will soon marry a rich guy from the US. gosh give me a break!

I must say, i was dissapointed with the ending of Unknown.

People hyped this film and said it was in the league of Unusual Suspects I beg to differ.

Based on the build up, i expected more.

Checked out 23 , jim carey again y/day and I must say it had an impressive twist, he being the one who wrote the book in the end.

But I wonder y his wife gave him the book as a present if she was trying to protect him from remembring stuff in the first place.

i just love the twist of event in assasination of jesse james.

no country for old men also has an unexpected end.
how about natural born killer. crazy ending.

No Country for Old Men was a good one, all the smart ass guys dying, Woody Harrelson's character was a good laff after his posing see how he was taken out!

Hey, just remembered how Perfume ended. that was a very very crazy one. i learnt the writer of the film is very weird

deep blue sea was predictable for me. i know they will keep the cool LL cool J. but i never really expected the girl to die. for me as per jesse james, i never expected the film to have that twist. i thought killing jesse james was the good thing for people but didnt expect them to turn around and later kill his killers cos he (jesse james) was the villain of the film.
for perfume, seeing the villain live was crazy and i thought he was going to be caught when he attempted to kill his last victim.

as per LL cool J iknew he was going to make it. most of the time innocent guys do make it. you see in film guys like cooks, cleaner etc dont die. kids hardly die, if there are more than one innocent lady one will die the other will survive. they always try to keep the innocent.
watch horror film the innocent girl doent get eaten by the monster. the one thats promiscious die. i learnt they use horror to discourage promiscuity in those days.

THE OTHERS ----Now that's unpredictable

I appreciate this post because I enjoy movies with unpredictable endings. However, I find it ironic that some people ruin the movie for those that have not yet scene it by revealing the ending.

mine is the secret window;johnny depp movie,the assasination of jesse james is a movie you can predict if you get the logic of the movie,another movie that is unpredictable is vertigo;directed by one of the best directors Alfred hitchcock and starring james stewart and also memento,wow that film is da bomb.

You guys missed out Shutter Island.

And how about Christopher Nolan's Memento? Apart from having MANY twists, this movie has the craziest plot i've ever seen.

Thrillers seem to have the highest points for unpredictable endings. In romance, drama and action, we pretty much know how its going to end.

Identity was one bleeped up movie! Didn't even see that coming at all.

Lol...I believe 'Figurine' had a quite unpredictable ending. Come on, who sensed that 'Linda' (Funlola Aofiyebi) had dated 'Sola' (Kunle Afolayan) in the past? Who knew the story would later be stuck between believing the figurine or ramsey noah is the cause of havoc and not the usual 'an evil doll-is-causing upheaval-but-we-later-survived story'.
