Lagosians commended Governor Fashola when he launched the Laghoms schemes early last year. The schemes were meant for First time home owners who reside and work in Lagos and had paid taxes to the Government for over 5 years.

A year on and it appears that the scheme is failing early. Poorly completed projects at iloro and ilupeju schemes. Abandoned landscape projects and outright non delivery of schemes (as long as 1 year) after winners have paid for their homes.

Typical example is the Mushin scheme where winners are still expecting their flats 9 months after paying 30% of the purchase value.

Laghoms is yet to provide any tenable reason for non delivery and poorly completed projects.
