Has anyone else observed that they have now made Supersport 5 their main Premier League channel instead of Supersport 3? This means those of us who subscribed to Compact Plus bouquet will be left to feed on the scrap matches because the bouquet is not inclusive of SS 5. All this despite all the recent increases in their subscription charge?

How much longer will our useless authorities keep colluding with this greed?

You can't entirely blame the greedy thieves. When the regulatory commision are incompetent, it's no surprise all these firms keep taking us for a ride.

I noticed it too. Infact, I hv been waiting for a thread on this since I noticed it this morning. God knows that I will never subscribe higher than compact next month unless they reverse this bullshit

I only noticed this just before the Man U/Spurs match...223 was showing a Championship match.Had to watch the Man U match on the internet. I stumbled on this article from a Zimbabwe newspaper that says Channel 223 will no longer show EPL matches:

It seems it also applies to Nigeria Compact Plus subscribers( after paying N9,420)

60% for where? This weekend, they're only showing 2 matches out of 10. Unless theymean they'll show some replays. They're certainly not showing 60% of LIVE matches which is what matters.

I am also having issues on GOtv - what upcoming guys like moi can afford. What I've found out is that these folks hardly ever respond to messages. How do you explain it when there are issues and no one will attend to you. You just pray you never have issues that require attention. The same is often the case with a good number of the mobile operators in the country. Talk about effects of corruption and carefree 'leaders.'

How can I pay 10k and I don't get to watch premier League matches instead you are showing me championship. Me I am not going to pay any extra. How can foreigners come and exploit us in our own country.

The annoying thing is dat my dstv has been off all week,the only reason why I even paid was for the soccer, so I switched on the dstv on Saturday and saw the nonsense.well dstv thanks a million. All you have done is save me N240,000 a year (10,000*12)*2 cos I also pay for my dad's own.

you don't have the football and some other channels like mbc on the website what you have is more of the local stations.
why not go to their office and inquire.
I had the same doubt when I was told.
I have no clandestine motive, moreover I don't have any affiliation with them other than been a subscriber.

I used CTL while in PH, I don't think it is in Lagos perse. Infact you still have other alternatives like Metro and CAN at far lesser rate. Here in Lagos i am meant to spend 14k too for DSTV. I don't know why these coys re not operating in Lagos.

N/B: Most of their channels re not in HD and re normally arabic stations though have won dedicated English channel. For example BEIN Sports have the exclusive rights to air EPL in the Middle East and North Africa while DSTV (SuperSports) is for other African countries. CTL and their friends (Metro digital and CAN) with the help of technology subscribe to Bein Sports, then sells it to consumers. On whether CTL is doing this illegal, they claim they re not showing it live cos is 2seconds late.
