Greetings to all Nairalanders, I feel very sad and angry to write this and also to warn everyone to be careful of who to trust when it comes to Job seeking.

On 28th of July, 2015, I was job hunting on nairaland as usual when I came across an urgent vacancy for an administrative manager for a video production firm. I contacted the OP almost immediately from the contact he posted, after much inquiries and discussion over the phone, he asked if I could meet him at his office that same day to which I obliged and after meeting, he concluded I should start work on 3rd of august 2015.

Prior to the date I was supposed to resume, I had 2 other job offers which I forgo because this particular one was closer to my place of residence than the rest. I went to the office at the supposed resumption date all dressed up at the agreed time to find the place locked up, I waited for about 2hrs while calling my employer but he did not take my calls. After this agonizing 2hrs of waiting, he sent me a text that he was in a meeting and very busy, I waited some more time before finally leaving. After then, I have been calling him and he gave different kind of stories and excuses even stopped responding to my calls and messages but all proved I am not having the Job again after losing my other Options.

Presently, to say I feel hurt is an understatement. I wont publish the name of the company or the guy himself but I have handed him over to the almighty God who is the supreme Judge. May God judge him. Please friends, be very careful who you trust, dont ever forgo any opportunity for another even when its sure you got it.

Africans and religious! Ur handing it to God's hand to do what with it? send his name and organisation here on NL? or write it on Bible? Until we have another victim you will decide to mention his name.

If you have handed him to almighty God then why create a topic? This is the problem with you Nigerians. All you do is whine but never help people to help you. Why can't you publish the name of the person and company?

Publishing their name is a way God is fighting for you. For Christ sake, you want someone else to feel the same way as you did. What is the nonsense with surrendering someone to God. Have we not surrender our political leaders to God for a long time, what became of it? If we had not taken a decisive measure to change our corrupt leaders, won't we be licking our wounds now.

It is a huge problem. I also read someone post, a mad lady poured hot water on you, disfigured your body and you are surrendering the heartless lady who never thought of the consequences to God instead of reporting to the police and suing her for damages.

Religion has bastardised our mindset, our opinion and sense of living.

You can imagine how she handed it over to God. She doesn't even know that if she sues the company, she might gain some financial advantage.

@ OP If you really want to help people or prevent some other job seekers from getting hurt, then you should name and shame this person. If you have left it in the hands of God then you shouldn't even have created a topic. The reason why Nigeria doesn't move forward is because we do not take the proper steps to complain about injustice. We are a country of all talk and no action.

That is why it is necessary to be sure of something before rejecting other options. That also goes to marriage, young lady being wooed by three suitors, must be officially married the one she chose, before rejecting other suitors.

It would have been of great opportunity if you could.paste the name so.others can avoid him. Who knows this guy might have something tragic in mind but God did not allow him to carry it out on you. Maybe your appearance or your prayers before you left home. In all just give thanks.
