I won't in any way condemn their tradition, whatever that pleases them...

We all shouting backwardness, even in civilised world, there are certain protocol followed in the burial of certain personalities..if this is the best way it can be done to Ooni, let them be.

After all,we are still in Africa.

Foolishness and Primitiveness on display, they just heap hot coals on his head, though if truly he repented, their fetish burial rites has no business with him, after death comes judgement.

I think a town can also be called a land.

The man said Ooni wasn't dead and he was right at that particular
point in time because he wasn't authorized to announce the death
of ooni.

He could have said he's not authorized to comment on the matter at that moment, not say he is still hale and hearty and throw everyone into confusion. Mind you, his cmoment that the Ooni was alive came after people like Saraki had already publicly sent their condolences. Such lies would have made people look at others as uninformed.

When every media said someone is dead, and only one person said he's still alive and we don't know who to believe anymore until the one that said he was still alive finally came out to say he is indeed dead, and the date stated was what the media initially reported. Are you saying he didn't lie?

I am sure an RCCG, or a Roman Catholic, or MFM, or Christ Embassy, or Anglican, or others, or all of the above will have also been a major party of the "church" service for God to receive the soul of the Oba in heaven!

Hmmmmmmm. were will u spend ur eternity? Ooni is gone, all what is going on in Ife does not concern him again. They are just human palaba. Pls let's pray to God for mercy and help us to serve Him the right way and end well. Hell is real and Heaven is real. it can't be changed.

Lol. Very smart idea. Not sure if anyone wouldn't be scared of the aftermath. We are talking serious juju here. If u don't believe in juju, I can spare you my drone to try with. Tell me about the aftermath a few decades afterwards.

Do you know that some folks think Juju (as in original, not the Lagos type Juju grin ) is just a fallacy?

I just laugh at them!

Small pikin see Juju, call am vegetable Soup! shocked grin grin

All those lies by the Chiefs ehn?
The King was buried with Abobaku and his heart was removed definitely, to be consumed by the next Oni.

At least they confessed to him eating the heart of an animal and being buried with animals but then, you'll wonder why they will still [revent his own children from seeing him.
It would be a bad site to see your Dad decapitated in the process of removing his vital organs like his heart....
More like a ritual killing!

That is tradition and culture for you. undecided

atleast I'm not channeling my resources to burying ppl alive and cannibalism cos of a dead man. If thts what it takes to be a free blackman I'd rather be a white slave. Ediats

Even though you are pretending to be compassionate, you
could be one of the countless ritualists kidnappers out there,
but when it comes to hurling insults at your perceived enemies
you become a champion as if there is a trophy for it.

Kindly tell us your home town where cannibalism has never existed ,

You must be living in a jungle where mob justice and hearsay rules.
Enjoy your "enlightened" cave justice system, white slave.

One thing is common to white slave, they defend their master even with
their own lives but they do not inculcate any positive attributes of their
master into their personal lives.
