my Bible tells me our body is God's temple.
If so be it, why are Christians still looking for alter or a particular place for prayer in their room?
why will dey have a place called ulter in churches where christians think if they don't bow down there to pray God will not answer them?
Are these not the same thing people who visit babalawo for rituals do?
well, i understand everybody have their way they want to practice religion based on how they understand. But some of us have chosen to be totally free from rituals and ordinamces, because we know we have the power in us already.
we don't need rituals

You are getting it wrong, family altar is just a cliche.
E.g Do you have a family altar? simply means "Do you pray with your family regularly?"

Praying on the church altar or podium is not wrong, its your faith that matters

Then family prayer should be used rather,
The term family alter is rather confusing for most nigerian christians. To you, you understand it, perhaps you have a better orientation.
How about billions of illiterate christians who go to church?
don't you think they will misinterprete it as some kind of a place for diabolical rituals where people go to pray that God should kill their enemies (humans )? By going there to scream, die by fire?
