Did Mother Teresa go to heaven? Is being an extremely giving, caring and sacrificial person enough to get you into heaven?

So who are you to start making assertions on who has gotten, or has not gotten salvation.

Are you even righteous?

Being good and caring does not take anyone to heaven.
Accepting Jesus Christ and His sacrificial giving is what takes one to heaven.

Did Mother Theresa go to heaven?Lord knows.

On earth, the only way we can know for sure whether one made heaven is when they have been declared as such by the catholic church in its authority to bind and loose.

Mother Theresa is one likely to have made heaven as she is currently in the process of being declared as such while a miracle through her intercession is sought/investigated.
The declaration process involves lengthy investigations into the person which could take decades/centuries.

If she died as the self righteous catholic nun that she was, without the knowledge of the Lord Jesus and His righteousness, which is likely, she is most assuredly a hell candidate . Sad but true. sad

Op, what has the question of mother Theresa making heaven or not got to do with propagating the Gospel of Christ? I'm yet to see any relationship between both.

This is false doctrine. The canonization of a person does not guarantee their eternal habitation. It is just a man-made act of bestowing honour on that person. Only God knows those who made heaven and those who didn't just as well as the people to whom He reveals the eternal habitation of those who have departed this life.

You think? You only knew her from observation or tales, God knew her heart and soul. Don't be shocked when you discover she is resting in heaven for all eternity.

Should Pastor Enoch Adeboye or Pastor Lazarus Muoka die today, many will say they are in heaven but the sad truth is we may never know until the end of time. Judging only from the appearance and character is a very great source of error, sometimes the error becomes fatal.

Si down dere captain saying false doctrine! The church was given the power to bind and loose(Matt 18:18 & others).the same power was used to canonise the books of the bible(or is this false as well?),to declare God a Trinity, to declare the nature of Jesus, the list goes on including canonisation of persons.
When someone is canonised, the church is stating that the person definitely has beatific vision which means they are in heaven.
The Catholic Church's authority comes directly from Jesus and so its always been and will continue to be.

See

Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.

His will;

John 6:29 :
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

And what truth He spoke;

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.

Look at what the acclaimed saint said;

In the biography Mother Teresa: Her People and Her Work, she is quoted by Desmond Doig as follows: “If in coming face to face with God we accept Him in our
lives, then we ... become a better Hindu, a better Muslim, a better Catholic, a better whatever we are ... What God is in your mind you must accept.”

In her life she preached a different gospel! The gospel of universalism where people can wallow in any religion and still know God as long as they are doing it well. Does it sound to you like the gospel Christ preached and suffered for, including His apostles.

Pleassse, enough of all this watering down.. Its either Jesus lied or Mother Theresa is in hell.

What is the message of Christ, that the gospel be preached to all nations and disciples made in His name. And mother Theresa said it is okay to be what you are if that's how you see God as long as you making progress in it. ABEG!

And He said,
Matthew 12:30
He that is not with me is against me; and he
that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Not to argue or anything, but all you've just said leaves me without a doubt about the deception you wholeheartedly believe. Read the Bible afresh. Forget what the Catholic church or Pentecostal church or Methodist church or Presbyterian church preach. Forget them. They are nothing but walls of division. Read the Bible from an individual point of view. It will help you get rid of the deception you are under.

Woah. Lol. Easy Miss/Mrs, please take it easy. I do not disagree with the Scripture verses you've quoted to support your opinion. Remember, even the most hardened criminal could breathe a prayer of repentance on his death bed just before giving up the ghost and make heaven. Folks who knew him in life would say he is in hell but they never knew what transpired between him and God a few seconds to the end of his life.

Have you read Ian McCormack's story? He was an atheist like the ones here in NL. He did not believe in the existence of God. A New Zealander. On a certain day, in Mauritius, he went swimming with some friends. In the water, he was stung by a box-jellyfish, believed to be the second deadliest creature known to man. Knowing he would die, he wondered if there was any life after death. In the few minutes of breath he had left, he remembered a prayer his mother taught him. The Lord's prayer. Actually, to say he remembered is an overstatement because he couldn't recall the words of the prayer. He prayed to God to help him remember the prayer his mother taught him. Supernaturally, the words of the Lord's Prayer appeared before his eyes. The first was 'Forgive us our sins'. He died and went to hell. In the darkness of hell, the light of God appeared to him and took him out of hell. He saw God as the shape of a man in the center of the light, he felt the waves of God's love on him. Now, this is what is very interesting. God showed him paradise, the New Earth and asked him if he wanted to stay or return. If he opted to stay, his mother would have been so heartbroken believing that he died an atheist. She wouldn't have known his deathbed prayer of repentance. For the sake of his mother, to tell let her know that her belief in Jesus Christ is real he told God he had to go back.

Do you also know that Jesus can appear to a sinner in coma, preach to him or her, and take them to heaven? He has been doing that and will continue to do that.

My point is you can never tell. The history of a character is not exactly true until God opens your eyes to see beyond history and tales of the person, to see the person as the person really is - good or bad.

Mother Theresa may be in hell, but she may also be in heaven because we never can tell what transpired in her last moments of life before she died. We don't know if she repented of her heresy in her deathbed and is resting in heaven even as we speak.

I beg to differ captain, one can't forget about the church. In fact we are pointed to the church a number of times in the bible.
Reading the bible from an individualpoint of view is what has caused the walls of division not following Jesus' church.
Reading the bible is very good but has the be read within the context of christian history.
The church is the pillar and foundation of truth that is why it can canonise people.

Suggested answer:

Answer: Mother Teresa, or Teresa of Calcutta (1910—1997), was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in Macedonia. Mother Teresa was a Catholic nun and missionary and certainly stands out among the world’s most famous and beloved religious humanitarians of the 20th century. Laying aside the recent rumors of skeptics who say Mother Teresa’s beautiful charitable story was exaggerated and, at times, fabricated by the media and the Catholic Church, and just assuming her to be every bit of the benevolent spirit she was known to be, we see a woman that set the bar very high in humanitarian efforts. She is known for developing international organizations of missionaries; establishing an orphanage; launching a nursing home, health clinics, and a family clinic; and giving herself to various other charities. Perhaps Mother Teresa is most celebrated for her choice to personally sacrifice common luxuries and comforts in order to care for the most destitute people in the most destitute places. Her famous humanitarian efforts and sacrificial living earned her various honors, awards, and distinctions worldwide—and, because of all of this and her devout religious beliefs, many people of various faiths believe she has undoubtedly entered into eternal rest in heaven.

If one could get to heaven by noble humanitarian acts, and if one could get to heaven by being devoutly religious, then it would be easy to conclude that Mother Teresa now dwells in heaven with the Lord. However, the Bible, contrary to Catholic teaching, is clear that good works and religiosity do not merit grace or earn salvation. God clarifies that we are only saved from eternal hell when we are born again through repentance and belief in Christ Jesus (see John 3:3; Matthew 4:17; Mark 1:14–15; Luke 13:3; 23:39–43; Romans 10:9–11; Acts 4:12). Perhaps the most terrifying passage in the Bible regarding people who must have seemed righteous to the world yet were rejected by God is Matthew 7:21–24, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”

Regarding salvation and eternity in heaven, the will of God is simple and clear in His Word; we must have the righteousness of God imputed to us. This imputation of righteousness does not come because of our good works but through the finished work of Christ. “God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:24–25).

Is not Mother Teresa included in Romans 3:12, “All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one”? Isaiah 64:6 says that all of our righteous deeds are like “filthy rags.” Apart from Christ’s work in us, no one pleases God and no amount of “good” we do will ever grant us entrance to heaven, not even for Mother Teresa. It’s true that saving faith produces good works, but good works can never produce salvation (see Romans 3:27–28; Matthew 7:21–23.)

Mother Teresa’s humanitarian efforts were respectable, commendable, and undoubtedly could have been and could still be used today by God in His perfect will. When it comes to entering heaven, however, her sincere works could never get her there. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9, NASB).

Mother Teresa once wrote in a letter to a confidant, “Where is my faith? Even deep down . . . there is nothing but emptiness and darkness. . . . If there be God—please forgive me.” And, eight years later, “Such deep longing for God . . . Repulsed, empty, no faith, no love, no zeal” (Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light, Doubleday, 2007). According to the letters compiled by the Vatican, Mother Teresa’s doubts continued until her death. This perhaps gives the clearest and most sobering picture of where she really stood with the Lord, at least at those particular points in her life. No one can say for sure whether or not Mother Teresa is in heaven. Her espousal of Catholic doctrine and its works-based system of salvation is certainly troubling. We can only hope that at some point before her last breath Teresa received saving faith in Christ and no longer trusted in Catholicism or her admirable accomplishments as the way to heaven. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me’” (John 14:6).

Now I have read what u dat site said and truly u and d writer of that site are confused people.

Let me ask u a question, in everything Christ did was it show off or an extension of His father's LOVE ?

Was it driven by the teaching of faith from the one true son or to get people's attention?

Then if truly everything Christ pass down and commanded His disciples is true, why are u disobeying the sacrament of baptism ?

Of what use is being called a Christian if u can't truly and happily proclaim ur faith with love which translates into good works?

Lastly I ask you why is it that d questions all leading truly describes the apostles way of life as true Christians or are they too wrong?

So in all u and d writer of that site are both confused.
