Owners of Private Hospitals and Medical Organisations should note this information!

NATIONAL INSURANCE COMMISSION (NAICOM) ENFORCEMENT OF COMPLIANCE ON DIRECTIVE OFcompulsory INSURANCE POLICIES FOR HOSPITALS AND MEDICAL ORGANISATIONS IN NIGERIA

Following the notification by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) to all public and private hospitals and medical organizations that the door-to-door verification of compliance or otherwise with the insurance policies made compulsory under the relevant laws:NHIS Act Section 45 of 1999, Section 64 & 65 of the Insurance Act 2003, for all registered and practicing medical organisations in Nigeria would begin from March 1, 2012. These compulsoryinsurance policies are:

1.) MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE
2.) PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
3.) FIRE AND SPECIAL PERILS INSURANCE

We at insurancedirect2u! in association with STACO Insurance Plc have embarked on a SENSITISATION AND SIGN-UP CAMPAIGN to bring awareness of the above directives to all hospitals and medical establishments across the country particularly within Lagos State.insurancedirect2u has also committed itself to provide our professional insurance and advisory services to safeguard and insure our health and medical practitioners and the public whom they render services to.

This awareness and sign up drive is necessitated by our recent shocking discovery to the fact that many medical establishments within Lagos State and across Nigeria DO NOT have the above insurance policies or are not aware of the above national laws binding them to have these policies in place for their organizations.

FAILURE TO HAVE THESE POLOCIES COULD LEAD TO IMPOSITION OF HEAVY FINES TO ERRING HOSPITALS AND MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

insurancedirect2u will post a brief synopsis of the above compulsory insurance policies for hospitals and the benefits from having the above policies in place for your organization.

For further details on the above or for any insurance services you may need for your yourself, your business or company, please call LANCIER on 08033054437 or email lancier224@yahoo.com BB Pin: 2bd85fdb
