What should be the first thing to look for in any company?
LEADERSHIP: Most people get it wrong here, they start looking at the product and compensation plan, those are secondary. When I say leadership I mean what does the company have in place to help you grow? Do they have any SYSTEM to grow your business? Do they have weekly, monthly training? Who is sponsoring you? what does he have to offer your team? Do you have any successful person there who has already achieved what you intend to achieve in that company and he/she is willing to mentor you? success leaves clues.
See, if you miss it here, you'd struggle in this business model and might eventually quit. Don't fall into the trap of saying because Mr A showed you the business first so you must sign up under him. If he and his team doesn't have any solid support to help you grow, it would do you good to look for another person that has the road map to work with. A stitch in time saves nine grin. You wouldn't want to struggle all through your business. Then when this area of leadership is sorted out look for a product that agrees with your personality.
A product you would be proud to represent, use and share anywhere passionately. Don't even fall into the trap of saying "I will join because the products are cheap." If you fall in love with the product, be it cosmetics, supplement, services, etc GO FOR IT.
I personally love consumable products because of repeated commission cheesy grin, anything outside this won't fancy me at all. So go for what you love.
When it comes to the compensation plan, no matter how simple, complex, unique, best, powerful the company's compensation plan looks, IF YOU DON'T BUILD IT, NO PAY grin cheesy cry


So in conclusion, look at leadership first, then go for a product you love, for the compensation plan, you have to build it no matter what undecided

SOME POPULAR WRONG IDEALOGY YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM IF YOU WANT TO BUILD IT BIG AND LONG TERM.
1. Joining more than one company at the same time: it sounds rational to join more than one network marketing company at a time and try to sell everyone you see either of them. This is actually the beginning of slavery and confusion. Why not just get a job in more than one company and see how your life would look like. If your intention is to build a long time, magnificent business, then commit all your energy and focus in a company and stick to it. Don't act confused by jumping from one company to another, that's the corporate world's mentality. Nobody wants to join a confused persons.
2. Make use of a system that duplicates and what works alongside: you can get someone join your business by talking to the person for 2hours or more. But the question is can this person talk as much as you? If the person can't re-duplicate that, then the essence of this business model is defeated. If your business partner (downline like most people call it) can't do what you do or simply put, can't recruit, you are toast! So don't just make use of a system to build your business, make sure anyone and everyone can do that. Then alongside this apply what works (wisdom is required here cheesy)

THE SECRET TO EARNING 7 FIGURE INCOME IN NETWORK MARKETING

Often times I see network marketers jumping from one company to another or searching from one book to another looking for the secret formula to making 7- figure income while there is actually NONE!

If you want to start making 7-figure income in network marketing, the simple strategy is to start telling people the truth while recruiting them.



The number one reason people quit network marketing is because of missed expectation. They thought it was going to be easy but it wasn’t. The bottom line is it’s not super easy, you got to work.

Most people in network marketing sweet–talk prospects into joining them without helping them understand the price they have to pay to achieve that kind of success.



I am yet to see a 7 income earner in MLM who didn’t work their butts off!

Help your new distributor understand that he/she has to pay the price, say 4 years, instead of the 40 years corporate job plan. When they understand this, they in turn would recruit serious minded persons into your team. They would persevere until success shows up; they wouldn’t need you to push them before they take action. Your team becomes autopilot.

So in summary, if you are committed and want to get to 7 figure income earner in this business, get committed people into your team – the only way to do that is to paint the picture of the future for them and also what price they would have to pay to achieve it.

3. Never Never miss your company's Event or seminars whether you have an invite there or not. Events make leaders.
4. People join YOU not your company's products or compensation plan. If you want Sharp and dynamic team mates, become Sharp and dynamic yourself. Don't join those people hawking products and shouting about compensation plan everywhere, be out to impact lives.
5. If you joined NW while still having a job, don't resign yet. It is easier to build the business part time and more fun as well.
6. Have your daily rituals: read at least 30 mins every day, listen to audio, use your company's products, share it, make new friends, etc.

Simple Analogy that would increase your business by 300% and REDUCE YOUR STRESS LEVEL.

I have come to realise that most people don't even understand what network marketing/Multi level marketing is, which makes them struggle in trying to build it. Lemme explain it like I do during my coaching sections:
See your MLM business as you having a plate of fried rice; You are simply looking for people that are hungry and WANTS a plate of fried rice. You would definitely meet alot of persons that are not hungry, you are not looking for them so STOP trying to beg them to become hungry. You'd kill yourself while trying to do this!
You would also meet people who are hungry but they don't want a plate of fried rice, maybe they want shawarma, pizza, beans, etc. Don't try to convince them that a plate of rice is better than what they want. You are not helping yourself, neither them. Even if they finally join, they'd still be hungry for whatever they previously wanted. They become ink on paper (register and do nothing about it).
Instead focus all your attention on people who are hungry and want a plate of rice!
They would not only jump on your food, they would be active in it.
If you understand this concept about your business, you would fall in love with it, grow more and your stress level will reduce cheesy .

Why you should never quit your job
There has been a lot about this jiggle “QUIT YOUR JOB, FIRE YOUR BOSS” going on. I think most people misunderstand this concept especially the new distributors. So I decided to take my time to connect the missing link in this jiggle.

First, because you joined an amazing MLM company does not mean you should quit your job immediately – especially if you decide to build your MLM business part-time and you have not started getting huge commission from it.



The reason you shouldn’t quit your job immediately is because you would still incur overhead cost – say your monthly Autoship, personal fliers, DVD, etc. And since you just started, the revenue has not started coming in as expected. So imagine cutting off the only source of your finance, it would really weaken your drive since you would feel you are moving backwards financially instead of making progress.

Imagine initially making over $500 (100,000 naira) monthly, then after joining a life transforming financial opportunity you start seeing less than $500 monthly. It would be stupid if you don’t question this offering.



This is what I think it means to FIRE YOUR BOSS – Pull your calendar out after joining your MLM company; state your preferred month of resignation – say in 6 months’ time or a year depending on you.

Figure out the exact amount of money that would be fit for you then; say $2000 monthly income.

Now with your available time-frame and target income, set a goal on how to achieve this figure. After achieving this, you can talk about FIRING YOUR BOSS.

See, the truth is if you can’t build this part-time; forget it! you can’t build it full time as well. The best time to master your craft is while building it part-time.

At this stage prospects come to you through your job, leverage on this opportunity and get as many of them as you can.

In summary, don’t think of FIRING YOUR BOSS when you haven’t built a substantial MLM business – it might only burn you out.

Set your target income, pursue it and fulfil it. You can even run other investment from the revenue gotten here – then FIRE YOUR BOSS.

The valley of death: why people quit in MLM
There is no doubt that MLM is undoubtedly one of the best industry to be in. But the question still remains – why do people quit?

Simple: they were recruited with unrealistic expectation. So when it doesn’t happen in a short while, they quit. As a sponsor why not start telling them the truth from the beginning?



You know most people have this straight line description of what success looks like. But in reality success is a zigzag map. You can’t really trace it, it happens when you least expect.

The Valley of death in MLM is the time most people quit.

For most people, when you first got signed up, things goes rosy – you begin to sign up people – they, also doing the same thing in turn. The fast start bonus rises, sales on the increase. And most people would fall into the trap of believing that this is how it is going to remain. Some even finally fall into the relaxation zone – believing their team is on autopilot to reduplicate.



Alas, like in all business venture, the dry season shows up. Decline in sales, leaders and distributors quit your team.

At first you would encourage yourself that it would get better soon. For most people “the better” doesn’t come that soon – this is where most people quit. This is where most people give up, they forget their dreams, they begin to question their beliefs, etc

See lemme give you a golden nugget: we can’t estimate how long it takes to get out of the valley of death – so keep going and never look back. The further you go, the more chances of you getting towards the end of it. So keep going and never quit because if you keep sharing, keep up the momentum, you would definitely get passed it. That’s where the real success is.

It’s not what you get in any venture that matters but it’s who you become that matters – the valley of death is your “becoming” point.

Keeping the main thing the main thing
Everyone of us has 24 hours daily, including the top income earners in which ever company you are in.
This is how most of our time is spent daily:
First 8 hours for work (job)- Yeah you heard me right! Being in Network marketing doesn't mean you shouldn't have a job, especially when you are just starting. Your job pays your bills till your networking business can begin paying your bills and more.
Second 8 hours on our family and friends - you just have to create time for the ones you love.
Third 8 hours is free - this is where most people kill it. They waste this 8 hours on things that won't grow their business. They spend it chatting with friends, watching television, movies, having fun, surfing Nairaland, Facebook, etc. They neglect the most important thing- share your product, compensation plan with someone. This is where those making money in your company are getting it right.
You can leave money in your pocket and wake up the following day and still find it there, it is not spent. Time is either spent or gone forever. You can't save it. So the question today is, what are you going to do with your free 8 hours? Will you build your business or just complain about it not growing?
Keep the main thing the main thing, and that is how many times are you going to share your product/company with people? How many times will it be told by you today?
Don't get distracted by social media and life generally. Get out there and share your opportunity with someone.

Andrew and Simi story.
Andrew and Simi are siblings from the same Parents; went to the same school, finished university with wonderful grades…Andrew got a job with a big company and was promised the position of a CEO if he works hard. Andrew being a determined guy started putting in his best, extra hours, sleeps over at the office most times. It didn't take long, just 15yrs he accomplished it. Time to make him the CEO the owner of the company gave the position to his grandson that just finished school. Andrew’s services were no longer needed in the company so he was retrenched…15 whole years wasted! He had to start looking for job again!
But Simi on the other hand choose a different part; found a small company, was employed and started working immediately but every evening did an EXTRAORDINARY thing: BUILT HER NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS during the evenings. After 4yrs, her network marketing business makes for her a fortune to help her live her dreams and life purpose, assist everyone around her and finally a wonderful lifestyle.
So she quits her job and begins to live her dream life and earnings from her network marketing company.
MORAL LESSON: The choice you make today affects your tomorrow, choose wisely my dear friends.
