JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Knowledge of best maintenance practices, lubrication, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials. Background related with Engineering will be preferred.
1. Familiar with SAP system and TQM tools.
2. Assist in purchase, design and installation of equipment and work areas.
3. Work with other managers and supervisors to coordinate maintenance with production.
4. Ensure that the mall is maintained as a safe, clean work environment.
5. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout.
6. Provide decision-making information by calculating labor and material costs, reviewing schedules, estimating for future requirements.
7. Maintains thorough knowledge of plant equipment and machines.
8. Responsible for maintaining parts and spares inventory.
9. Recommend and purchase new equipment, tools, repair parts.
10. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
11. Responsible for management of maintenance to ensure maximum utilization of manpower to keep plant running efficiently and minimizing equipment downtime.
12. Provide technical training and guidance for maintenance, supervisors.
13. Estimate projects and installation of new equipment.
14. Maintain maintenance budget and capital expenditures balancing cost with equipment repair
15. Manage systems for continuous improvement to maximize operational availability
16. Maintain departmental budget, parts and well defined scheduling system.
17. Direct preventative, planned and predictive maintenance procedures.

JOB SPECIFICATION
o B.sc. IN Mechanical Engineering
. B.sc. in Electrical Engineering
o Minimum 5-10 years of experience
o Added advantage Mall operations background.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Work experience and knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, mall management companies.
• Comprehensive experience in dealing with clients, customers, service vendors and the staff.
• Must demonstrate leadership quality in handling clients, team staff.
• IT skills
• Good communication skills
• Good man management and time management skills
