I don’t expect anything from that judgment except stroking out that case.

Those Osun state judges are not straight forward
Re: Judgement Day For Osun Governorship Tussle - Aregbesola Or Oyinlola, Who Wins? by PeeDaVinci: 11:07am On Mar 30, 2009
in a free and fair election, oyinlola will beat aregbesola, not to talk of a manipulated election, and the judges biased!!!!
Oyinlola will carry the day, he is firmly seated in Osun, nothing will shake him an inch!!! Aregbesola can wait till 2011 when he can contest Erelu

i also agree with you that oyinlola is firmly grounded in osun state but i believe aregbesola will win even though i have no rational reasoning for thinking so, its only a couple of hours and we ll see,

Thanks Austin,

I hope this won't take another two years to deliver judgement thereby giving Oyinlola unmerited four years in power.

while i dont agree with the justice constituting another tribunial rather than completing the job he has started by declaring aregbesola the winner based on the adrian forty evidence and others which he has upholded,it is a step in the right direction and a psychological lift for the down trodden people of soun state, and the ac and their governorship candidate, the most important thing is that ven if oyinlola spends 4 years there, first his preffered candidate would not replace him,and second the people's wills will eventually be made manifest and ekiti, edo, lagos now osun is a wake up call for our politicians that nigerians are starting to vote their conscience

One could only hope that these judges are not developing cold feet because of police coverage withdrawal, just few days back a Lagos court refused to deliver judgment on Al Mustapha place now this "Cry the beloved country".
Re: Judgement Day For Osun Governorship Tussle - Aregbesola Or Oyinlola, Who Wins? by fyneguy: 2:53pm On Mar 30, 2009
Did Aregbesola ask for re-trial of the case? or the Judge used his discretion?
Re: Judgement Day For Osun Governorship Tussle - Aregbesola Or Oyinlola, Who Wins? by evangy69: 3:49pm On Mar 30, 2009
Aregbesola never pleaded for a reconstituition of the lower tribunal, but to be declared as the winner of the 2007 elections.
Justice Victor Omage's name would never be erased in the book in which he has written his name,
The generations to come from him will meet his track records.

Posterity is there to judge him,
Re: Judgement Day For Osun Governorship Tussle - Aregbesola Or Oyinlola, Who Wins? by Eziachi: 4:28pm On Mar 30, 2009
This is an election held 2 years ago?
And now a new trial, of which whoever lose or wins in the new trial there will be an appeal.
It took them this long to go back to a trial, surely before the case is finally settled, it will be four years.
And who is the winner? The person maybe that has stolen peoples mandate sitting in power, the lawyers on both sites of the argument and the biased INEC's lawyers.
The losers?
The people of Osun state,
the posible real winner that shambolic election
posibly the person who cannot do his work without the distraction of one court case after another,
the tax payers, whose money is constantly wasted staging this kangaroo courts.

Who said that Nigeria si not a failed state?

does it really matter who wins.

Why dont the Osun people make history and put an easterner in the govt house. After all, going by Fani Kayode and so many Osun nairalanders eg Deepzone, bawomolo, debosky, sauron (or where did he say he's from), etc they seem to be the Yoruba state that loves easterners the most. I used to think it was Ogun after they supplanted Oyo, but Osun is the one taking the cake now.

And who says an Igbo man wont perform better than most of the governors they've had so far.

They should show their openmindedness and become the first Yoruba state to have a civilian non-Yoruba governor.

grin cheesy grin

Oyinlola lost my respect since he started becoming more of a politician than a leader he seemed to be. But even at that, I see Aregbesola as a very diabolical mysterious tout.

I stand to be corrected.

This old woman is very sick I tell you. She has hit the brick wall as regards to fighting igbos and now she's fighting Yorubas that refuse to join her anti igbo tribal campaign. Can someone here ask her how pro or anti igbo sentiment came into play in a thread that talks about Osun governor. Obsession at it's height. E no go better for that igbo man that knocked up this woman I swear.

Because the man must have slit her wombs with a rusted knife for her to be obsessed with anything igbo in this manner. How did pro or anti igbo sentiment enter this conversation now, if I may ask?. From her statement, I can deduce that Yorubas from other states apart from Osun are igbo haters which is a complete fabricated lie by an ethnic bigot like Tpia.

I totally agree with you on the emboldened.
I was also wondering what could have given birth to such an out of point comment if not the love for continuous tribalism in her beloved nigeria.

Osun state is one of the best states a non-indegene can live and go about his/her business peacefully. Im a witness to that.

If the Judge claimed to uphold the grounds of the appeal, on what basis did he rule for reconstitution of the tribunal?

It's obvious the Judge tactically avoided passing the logical ruling for security reasons.

I'm afraid this is a new trend.

how can you slanderise a man's name just cause of a feeling you have about him,if you have credible reasons for calling him a diabolical mysterious tout, then fair enough but if you only have a "feeling"then that sounds diabolical in itself.
in view of this are you suggesting none of them is made governor?

Those were my thoughts given to what I have seen and read about the man. Mind you, I never told anyone to buy into it, instead i went further to allow myself to be corrected if i was wrong.

In the view of Oyin and Aregbesolas' incompetence to lead the beautiful state; I was trying to make it clear that Osun people could do better than churning out these two.
